In response to all the criticism, Phillips has promised to hold up a homeade sign that reads, "We're Coming!" before each blitz the next time the Broncos come to town.

I will not even get into the irony of a cut-block team blubbering about the virtues of sportsmanship.

you know, i thought about this a lot. if *any* team can whine about some unwritten code to follow, it would NOT be the bronco's who loophole after loophole plan to take out knees.

"It's what we ran against them in San Diego ... They blitzed us, too. We picked it up." That was Phillips offering a little backhanded advice to the Broncos. The takeaway: if teams blitz, pick it up. Huh, when Phillips puts it like that, it seems so ... simple.

To be fair to the Broncos, it's hard to pick up a blitz when your tackles are doing their best imitation of a revolving door. Ware and Spencer appeared to be in the backfield on most plays.
