That's why I draft him on my FF team. And when we do a playoff draft, I don't draft him. Dak is money during the regular season.

Two years ago I won my league with Dak. Last year I won the playoff league with Hurts.
The playoff issues predate Dak. This franchise just isn’t built to win when it counts. That starts with the President, Owner, and GM.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...king-top-100-players-predictions-stats-quotes

QBs that made their top 100...

1. Mahomes
2. Hurts
3. Burrow
4. Allen
5. Herbert
6. Lawrence
7. Jackson
8. Rodgers
9. Prescott
10. Tagovailoa
11. Goff
12. Cousins

Oh and this offseason, NFL players, coaches and execs all independently voted Dak among the top 10 QBs as well.

So people who are paid to know this sport universally believe Dak's pretty good.
He should be very good in the quarterback room for Lance.

I don't get the Herbert love. He hasn't done anything, yet nonone criticizes him for his poor play, especially in the playoffs.
C'mon, the playoffs are another world onto itself where no excuses are acceptible.

Only because of Brock Purdy's small sample size (and injury).

Purdy played like he's the next Tom Brady until he got hurt last year.
Style of play has changed from highlighting a more mobile quarterback with recently strong injury history.

Outside of Patrick Mahomes (who we all agree is the best of the best), how many QBs do you think would've torched the 49ers in that game, with the weapons (or lack thereof) that Dak had?

Aaron Rodgers also couldn't get past this 49ers defense. They're ridiculously good.

I was disappointed with how Dak played too, but I'm also realistic. He's a good-but-not-elite QB, on the road against the #1 defense and with zero RB threat once Pollard went down. What we got is what I expected.

The most disappointing play of that game was the near-pick-6 dropped by Dre Greenlaw. Just a horrible decision by Dak and one that should've ended any comeback hopes.
29+ career game average for points...he is very strong. Defensive limiting has returned to the Cowboys as well. 9 is probably way low now.

So a bombshell in the form of people's opinions of QB rankings? Not exactly a bombshell so while some hang their hats on rankings, I personally will base it on the on field performance during the regular season and playoffs.

These players PLAY against Dak. The coaches game plan and COACH against Dak. These scouts SCOUT players for days, hours, weeks, and months.

These highly paid professionals are basing it off their experience AGAINST Dak on the field and the production that's recorded.

Yes!!! They dropped a BOMBSHELL on the agendas of the people who try to discredit Dak. So I guess you're one of these people who believe you know more about NFL quarterbacking than these professionals??

Please explain how you or any other couch potato can POSSIBLY know more than scouts who travel the country to evaluate football talent at the highest level, more than players that have been on the field against Dak and more than coaches that have game planned against Dak.

PLEASE explain how you and other couch potatoes have more credibility evaluating NFL quarterbacking than these highly paid professionals.

I'll wait....

...a valid discussion addition. For sure. I think he is being dissed a lot not based upon his growth and momentum abilities.

Dude, this is a game, not rocket science. Any idiot can see who is good and who isn't. We don't need Rhode scholars to tell us what we're seeing. That said, I think Dak should be higher on that list. I'm not even a big Dak fan.
Apparently there are a handful of idiots on here that cant tell diddly.

The question was name a player that played good, I did and now that don't count.....ok
A player that got injured in the first quarter counts? LOL

This is troll logic at its best. FYI..................At the time of his injury he had 6 carries for 22 yards. Hardly a great game.

Lamb was the ONLY guy with a good game with 117 yards receiving. So the ONE player that Dak could count on he actually connected with. There just wasnt anyone else that could do anything against the #1 defense in the NFL.

So you say 460 passing attempts are too small a sample size then proceed to say Dak has a better playoff QB rating by far....using Dak's 7 starting season to Hurts 2 starting seasons....so a small sample size is okay for the later?
I just thought it was a small sample size to declare him the 2nd best QB in the NFL. I think a statement like that requires more evidence.

Hurts is ranked too high. On any other team besides the Eagles he would rank in the lower echelon of the NFL.

He "Looks" like the QB you dream of apparently.. no actuall success needed with those QB's...He throws a pretty ball and loses 20 point halftime leads in the playoffs...

Looking at this list, it really makes me appreciate that I got to watch Marino, Aikman, Elway, Montana, Young, Moon, Kelly, Favre, etc….all play at the same time.
as opposed to brady, peyton, arod, rivers, brees, big ben, romo, kurt warner, favre etc?
