There is nothing wrong with that poll. people around the country in every state has seen Romo act the last 7 years.they know he is a choker. and they think Jerry is stupid and dumb for paying him all this money and they are right.

In argumentation theory, an argumentum ad populum (Latin for "appeal to the people") is a fallacious argument that concludes a proposition to be true because many or most people believe it. In other words, the basic idea of the argument is: "If many believe so, it is so."

IOW, why should I care?

The facebook fans are right. and the next few years will prove it. no excuses. and no blaming anyone else.

Wait...so if the Cowboys don't win a Super Bowl in the next 3-4 years, it's going to be entirely Romo's fault?

It could have been a 6 year/$60 million dollar contract the results would have been the same.

I think it's pretty obvious that Romo's reputation has been ruined around the league.

He won the super Bowl. and he threw 11 TD's and 0 picks in the playoffs. and he won super Bowl MVP. Romo has never even come close to doing that. he has won 1 playoff game since he was a junior in high school.
Before this year, Flacco was one of the worst performing QBs in playoff history for his career. He had games were he had 2-3 ints and no TDs, 10 QB ratings...yet his team won the game. After a ton of tyies, he finally nailed it.
You need opportunities to break through. He got many and finally cashed in with a great run.

Listen Flacco was bad his first 2 years but since 2010 he hasn't been bad in the playoffs

Numbers in some games aren't perfect but not as you are portraying them. The fact is, the teams get there and he makes plays. This has nothing to do with Romo, just hate the comparisons.

I've been a Romo fan on here. Think he runs for his life. BUT I've also been Independent and acknowledge he makes boneheaded mistakes and hasn't exactly gotten it done when needed. You can see both sides. I think the contract was bad but overall but it is something you have to wait and see about it.

My cousin is a Cowboys fan, but not like I am. He said he didn't think they should have spent all that money on Romo and he likes Romo. I told him that Romo gives us the best chance of winning in the next couple of years. I also asked him, "Do you think if the Cowboys don't win the SB, it will be because of Romo?" He said "NO". So there you go..........

The Week 17 performance was bad, and it earned Romo the result of this poll. I disagree with the public, and I think if Romo had that Saints game in Week 17 (400 yd 4 TD Loss) that the results would be the same. But I can't feel bad about his perception, and I can only be confident that he's going to prove the world wrong.

OK you are the GM. What would your plan be today for the future of the QB position?

The going rate for top tier quarterbacks. Romo, with the right components, can lead this team to the Super Bowl.

I don't see why everyone is so worked up over this. I've been a Romo critic in the past (prone to make mistakes), but it's pretty clear he's a very good quarterback. He just needs a little bit more help.

Get him that help (a running game, a better offensive line, a pass rush), and he can make a serious push deep into the playoffs.

31 fanbases in the NFL are not Cowboys fans. Of course they would vote this way.

Obviously I would run out and sign a 33-year-old quarterback who just led the league in interceptions to a six-year deal nine-figure deal. I would especially do this when the team that won the conference last year is paying their qb about $1 million/year.

QB isn't really the position you go cheap at to cut cap room. We still have our young players and by the time they need to be signed we will have room. We might be able to use that money to sign other free agents but at that point we would have no QB and no hope anyway. We just need to draft well; and that will in turn bring the cap down.

Yes i understand that i mean you take advantage of the rookie contract and that helps get cap in order for another run. kinda like SF and Peahawks are doing now have a young Core of a team they like and are going shopping now.

Yeah if only Jacksonville buffalo and Arizona could just figure out finding a qb is easy....

Throw in Philly, Oakland, KC, and the Skins (plus others). I think since we are fresh off of a season where Luck, Griffin, and Wilson were all successful as rookies people just think finding a QB is nothing out of the ordinary. I'm glad our front office saw it the other way though.

Look what the Skins had to give up so they could get RGIII. Are we going to do that for Geno? :laugh2:

At least we'd have money to sign Mike Wallace. That should get us to a championship.
