He tied Dan Marino if that's the accurate score.
I was the one that reported the 16. I had a friend say he heard it on ESPN radio, so take it with a grain of salt.

Side note - I don't understand why the Vince Young thread was deleted.

it is wrong to delete such an active thread. I'm sorry but that is wrong.

there were several legit discussions going on in there and lots of intelligent discourse.

not sure you saw before the thread was moved... but ESPN radio reported his score was actually a 16. Not great, but not as bad as previously reported...

Hadn't heard the rumor that someone was fired for the error, tho.

I seen someone say ESPN said he got a 16, but then I saw where you said it was gonna be 72 hours. So since nobody backed up the 16 argument I ignored it.

As for someone appoligizing and getting fired thats what i wanna link to lol

there are reasons for everything, some of which regular posters may not be aware.

just a suggestion: start a new one...

may suck, but the original thread is dead... sorry.

Reggie McNeal QB/WR Texas A&M

Strengths
Reggie has one of the strongest arms in this draft. He is an excellent athlete and shows some leadership skills. He moves well in the pocket and out of the pocket and can make the big play in the blink of an eye. When Reggie gets into a zone, he is a pleasure to watch play the game of football and can be one of the most exciting players on the field.

Needs to Improve
Reggie is an extremely erratic football player. He lacks consistency in every facet of his game. He is very fast and has good hands. In fact, he should be moved now –- this minute -- before I finish this profile to the WR position.

Bottom Line
When you watch this kid play, he sends chills down your spin one minute and gives you a great big headache the next. The first time I saw him, I just watched him and drooled at his potential to be a QB at the next level. The more I watched him play, the more I realized he has to be moved as quickly as possible to the WR position. He is way too erratic at the college level and that means there is no way he will be successful at the NFL level. The QB position is too much for him to handle mentally. He must be moved right away because with his athletic talent, he should be an outstanding WR. He will take some time, but he looks like he has the work ethic to do it. Reggie will impact at the next level faster as a WR and that’s a fact. Now, before you A & M fans get all over me about how great Reggie is and how I must be as blind as a bat if I can’t see how great he is, remember it’s about the next level. It is not how good Reggie is at the college level. If Reggie stays a QB, you'll never hear about him again. If he is moved to the WR position, you'll be seeing him in the Pro Bowl. It is as simple as that.

Reggie McNeal = zero leadership skills and everyone knows it.

Insert Michael Bishop's name instead of Reggie McNeal and it's the same QB.

Not hardly, Michael Bishop didnt run anywhere CLOSE to a 4.37, nor did he have anywhere close to a 38'' inch vertical. Bishop didnt have half the arm that McNeal has, either.

McNeal is both 10 times the athlete and 10 times the passer Bishop was. The only thing Bishop had on him was leadership (and a far better team around him). You can learn to be a leader, you cant learn to run a 4.3 or throw the ball nearly 70 yards.

Bull****. Same QB. You're head is so far up McNeal's *** you have no idea what you're talking about. Michael Bishop had a cannon for an arm, he was fast, not sure how high he jumped because he was a QB, not a point guard. Same QB.

so why not let us all know why one of the most active discussions on the board got deleted?

many of us come here religiously and make this board a quality outlet for discussion. for the most part all of us follow the rules but we can't learn to behave as the mods want us to if threads get deleted without explanation.

honestly, I don't take well to this "because we said so stuff"

Plain and simply, you are wrong. There is no other way to put it. Bishop ran a 4.7, had less accuracy than even Vince Young does, and the longest throw he made his entire career was a 54 yard Hail Mary in the 1998 Big 12 title game. The man had a hard time throwing the ball 50 yards in the air.

Come on man, give me a break! I saw both of those guys play several games and I saw a hell of a lot more long passes from McNeal. Bishop doesn't have half the arm of McNeal.

If Quincy Carter can take a NFL team to the playoffs, McNeal sure as Hell can....

I guess we'll see

but Carter was a better college player at QB than McNeal ever was and ran a fairly advanced passing offense...McNeal was nowhere near the passing QB Carter was, especially Carter's first two yrs at UGA

I don't recall Bishop being blazing fast... he was more strong than speedy (very hard guy to tackle) but I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that he had a stronger arm than McNeil. And before you jump down on my for bias, I'm a proud member of the fight'n Texas Aggie Class of 00. A bigger reason for his lacking long completions was simply that he rarely threw in College. Not many guys in College attempt passes of 40+ yards. When you see a 40+ yard completion it's more likely the run after catch. However I did see him pass some on various tapes that they replayed on ESPN. He had a true cannon. He could toss it 70 yards with seeminly very little effort. I, to this day, believe that he had the single strongest arm I have ever seen in football. Hands down.

But what in the world does that do for you if you aren't accurate or smart enough to know where to pass it?

As for those that were critisizing his lack of a bowl game, you have to remember that A&M lost 6 WRs this year. Wonder how good Bledsoe would look if you took away Glenn, Keyshawn, Crayton, Copper, Witten, and Campbell. You just have no timing and no pass catchers that know what they are doing. That takes away the ability to call a hot route, audible, or run dynamic routes. But you have a QB that has been practicing all of those things for 4 years. I was impressed by how well he actually did play this last year.

As for the future, I think he'll play whatever the team wants him too... WR or QB, but I do think he has a real shot at QB. If only he had VY's size.

I agree on the accuracy and smarts. When I talk about the arm, I don't just mean how much of a gunslinger they are. Honestly, when I think of Bishop, I think of Dat Nguyen first and one of the best college football games I've ever watched. In a game that Bishop could have proven he was NFL material, Dat came out and showed the world his undersized self deserved a chance.

He aslo ran a 4.37 on his forty. I wouldn't mind taking him in the 3rd and moving him to WR.

4.35 and he's a quarterback... that's where he should stay with that type of speed...:starspin

Vince Young's score of 6 was reported this morning on NFL radio on Sirius. The commentator said it was confirmed by an "extremely reliable source" but that the score was "being looked into."
