Keyshawn is raw he could have helped Jarret ALOT. As a matter of fact I don't doubt too much that he won't still give Jarret some pointers on the way out. I'm sure the Saints will look at him as well as Philly,Green Bay, Tennesee, and New England

Do you mean that Keyshawn could have helped out Jarrett because Jarrett is raw as a reciever?

haha good luck with michael vick having the patience for Keyshawn to finish his routes, let alone wanting to pass the ball to ANYONE If KJ goes there, he will catch 30 balls max for 2 tds and a putrid avg.

knowing sean payton with attention to detail, he would probably discuss it with keyshawn,

but best i remember keyshawn and sean had issues, didnt they?

We need juice in the offense, not molasses.

Seriously, I doubt Keyshawn will have much difficulty finding a team. He is a tough possession receiver and clutch in 3rd down and goalline situations. He made some HUGE catches for us when he was here. I recall that he played a key role in our comeback against the 49ers a few years back. He wasn't terrible in Carolina either (except for that sure TD drop against Dallas when he burned Anthony Henry, LOL). But Delhomme nearly always looked to Steve Smith way too much and didn't pull the trigger when Key was open. He still has the ability to be a weapon for some offense.

Here are teams that I believe would be interested in Keyshawn's service:
Atlanta Falcons: Yes, they got Horn, but he is coming off an injury himself, and there still isn't a clear #2. Brian Finneran, Rody White, and Michael Jenkins, all seemingly better suited as #3 receivers with the latter two being dissapointments at this point. Then there is Alge Crumpler, who is overrated IMO and drops way to many passes. Keyshawn could be that tough possesion receiver and vet mentor if Horn goes down. Then guys Finneran, Jenkins, or White could be a threat in the slot for Vick.

Baltimore Ravens: Like the Falcons, the Ravens already have a vet receiver in Derrick Mason, but there is no real threat for TD production. Mark Clayton is servicable in the slot and a solid number two, and Todd Heap gives solid production as a TE. However, Clayton is no a viable option in short yardage and goal line situations, while Mason seems to dissapear the closer they get to the endzone. For a team looking to win a super bowl this year, Keyshawn could definitely help out. He could also "show rookie WR Yamon Figurs a thing or two."

Greenbay Packers: Obviously, Favre is going to need somebody else to throw to other than Donald Driver. Greg Jennings had a productive rookie season, but other than that, there aren't many options to throw the ball to. Bubba Franks doesn't even deserve mentioning.

Houston Texans: Like the Packers, the Texans lack a second option to throw to other than Andre Johnson. For a team that has invested heavily in Matt Schaub, you would think that they would attempt to give him someone else to throw to.

Minnesota Vikings: They just drafted Sidney Rice, but he might not be ready for a full time role. Troy Williamson hasn't showed much yet, either. There is no possesion reciever on this team, or anyone good enough to provide veteran leadership.

New Orleans Saints: It is possible that Johnson could reunite with Payton, but with the departure of Horn and the addition of Meachum, something tells me that the Saints are content to roll with the youngins.

Philadelphia Eagles : Brown emerged as a weapon last year, but I think that had a lot to do with Stallworth taking some of the pressure off. Johnson could provide a huge target for McNabb, when he is healthy, and could be highly productive in the WC offense. However, bringing in aging veterans on their last leg isn't exactly the Eagles MO.

San Diego Chargers: Gates is an All-World TE, but other than that, there really aren't any #2 receivers on the team, let alone #1's. Rokkie Craig Davis may not be ready to take that role, yet. Johnson could give Rivers a lot of help over the middle and in goal line situations.

Tennessee Titans: Vince Young has nobody to throw to, and Johnson could easily become Young's #1 WR option.

Well, I wouldn't mind having him back. Nobody knows for sure what TOs hands will be like next year. Will his surgically repaired finger be OK? Heck, he drops balls all the time anyway. Will Glenn be able to go a whole season or will the degenarative knee slow him up again? We didn't bring in anybody who is going to help us out immediatly in the draft. KJ isn't fast but you know that if you throw him the ball, he's going to catch it. I'd definatly sign him for the league minimum. There's a guy right there that will extend at least 30 drives for you in a season. Probably more.

Keyshawn Johnson might have to put his television career on hold. Word is there might be a pretty good market for him. The Eagles, Chargers, Giants and Titans are rumored to be among the teams that are at least thinking about pursuing Johnson.

If you recall Andy Reid mentioned during the draft that he would love to have Keyshawn (joking?) and then was told that was tampering by one of the espn reporters covering the draft.

One reason why Key got cut

Down 27-24 with little more than a half-minute to play against the Eagles, Keyshawn Johnson ran one of his favorite routes, a fade to the right corner. But Lito Sheppard got in his way and Johnson cut his route short. Jake Delhomme's pass went about where it was supposed to, but Johnson did not. Sheppard picked off the pass to preserve the three-point victory. Delhomme took responsibility for the interception. Some teammates, as well as the gentlemen who employ them, waited for Johnson to acknowledge his role. But he would not say the fault was his. Rather than share the criticism from the media and fans, Keyshawn let Delhomme absorb all of it. The interception probably ended any opportunity Johnson had to remain a Panther.

Yea...keep telling me how this guy is a team player and how you want him back on the Cowboys.....WHATEVER.

Interesting this is coming out now; methinks the jerks in the carolina front office are so busy trying to shine up Delhomme they will throw anyone else under the bus. Now if Shepard got position and Key tries to go through him, then its offensive Pass Interference; so he cut it short and Delhomme throws it anyway. Sounds to me that if Delhomme was watching and still threw it its on him; if he did not see it that is just the way it happens.
