Ultimate Depth Chart
ESPN.com

Over the course of the week SportsCenter has been ranking all 32 teams in key categories -- QBs, RBs, pass catchers, rushing defense and passing defense. Each ultimate depth chart was put together by ESPN experts Mike Golic, Mark Schlereth, Sean Salisbury and Trey Wingo.
In addition to their expert analysis, we also asked SportsNation to rank the teams in each key category.

SportsCenter has already ranked the teams from top to bottom at QB and RB, with pass catchers (Tuesday), rushing defense (Wednesday) and passing defense (Thursday) coming over the next three days.

Oh well, everyone has their opinion.

What's even worse was the WR's Had Dallas 5th, but the Foreskins were 3rd????????????? Am I the only one not impressed with Randel El and Lloyd? Owens, Glenn , Whitten ,Fasano and Clayton are a lot better them Moss, Randel El, Cooley, Lloyd and Patten. What a joke.

This is the only place in America where a majority of people think that the Cowboys WR (1-4) are better than the Commanders WR (1-4).

Anyway, 3rd in the league vs 5th in the league...what's the big deal?

Owens is a better overall receiver than Santana, but Santana's numbers last season were superior to any of TO's numbers from the last 4 seasons. TO's last great season was 2001 with the 49ers.

(In your mind) Glenn (32) is better than Lloyd (25), but 31/32 NFL GMs would rather have Lloyd as their number 2 receiver.

Perhaps age, versatility, speed, depth, and potential went into ESPN's decisions.

Moss did it for one year- TO has been doing it for years- so your arguement fails there. Glenn has shown more then Lloyd has- so your arguement fails there. Any more?

Hard to even talk to a typical Commander fan. Logic and facts go out the window. 31/32 NFL GM's would rather have Lloyd then Glenn? He knows this for a fact? Well 31/32 GM's would rather have Owens, Glenn, Whitten and Clayton then Moss, Lloyd, Randel El and Cooley. Gee that was easy. Gotta love that Commander logic.

Actually, ESPN gave us a worse ranking than the Commanders on EVERYTHING.

According to ESPN:

Brunell >> Bledsoe
Portis >> JJ and MB3
Moss + Lloyd + Cooley > Owens + Glenn + Witten
Commanders Pass D >> Cowboys Pass D
Commanders Run D >> Cowboys Run D

Talk about really, really one sided...So you're telling me that the Commanders are better than us at EVERYTHING? Hardly..

You need to stop stating this fallacy. Moss had 1100 yards and 10 TD's in 2003. If that is not a good season than you must not think very highly of Terry Glenn.

To the victor goes the spoils. Skins beat us both times last season so it is to be expected that some will rate them as the better team. It is up to the Cowboys to go out there and prove people wrong.

Link?

And secondly....who they'd rather have has nothing to do with level of production. In this case, you are factoring in age.... Of course, GMs would rather have someone younger....doesn't mean Lloyd is better.

Another fallacious argument. We beat many teams the only time we played them. Does that mean we have better parts than they do in all facets of the game?

Well, Brunell outplayed Bledsoe....their RBs are better....WR is debateable, and their defense was a little bit better than ours.

Its not really that surprising.

IMO, here's how I see it.

QB is debatable. Yes, Brunell outplayed Bledsoe, but Bledsoe was playing much better before Adams went down and the OL basically messed him up. Now, the OL is better than last year's, so Bledsoe should return to the form he was at the start of the season. With that said, Brunell is also getting alot of injuries, and as we lovingly call him, he's a "noodle arm." That's why I think Bledsoe will be better. I'm basing it off of the start of last season, before our OL just suddenly deteriorating. It depends how you look at it.

Their starting RB is better than our starting RB, but I'm pretty sure MB3 is better than their #2. You would accept that we have a better depth, right?

Now, for WR.

Owens > Moss, it is closer than we think, but Owens is better.
Glenn > Lloyd, Glenn had a productive season after being doubled just about every play. Now with Owens on the field, Glenn won't take the double coverage.
Witten > Cooley, if the OL performs better, Witten will be much, much better.

Now, Commanders fans want to talk about depth. Yes, they have a better WR depth than us. Don't we have a better RB depth though. IMO, their RBs are better, but if they base their WR's as better than ours bc of depth, then shouldn't our RB's be better for the same reason?

And as for the defense, last year was our first year in the 3-4, so we had to stay pretty bland so the players could learn the system. Expect us to come out firing much more on Defense.

Sorry, Dallas needs to go out and earn respect, I'm not going to sit here and whine about what ESPN has to say. You want them to talk differently about the team as they did in the early 90's where they gave us a lot of good press? then this team needs to get their butts in gear and do something. We have done nothing as of yet to earn anyones respect and that has to change
