Some of you "Dak only" guys crack me up.

You keep saying , " who's gonna be qb here if Daks gone?", but as soon as we bring up a projected 1st round talent, "he's not good enough"

Face it, you'd rather lose with Dak than get a potentially better qb here.

Sad.....but not surprising
It’s funny yall think just because you draft a first round QB means you will get better qb play.

Dak did everything better than Shedur in college.

10 grocer baggers on offense and he only lost to Saban by 5 points.
Dak is as doing in college what he is doing now. Can’t beat good defenses and padding his stats in garbage time, including when getting blown out by ranked teams (see Senior year).

just looking at the tape, anybody can see Sanders has a better and quicker release and arm even in college, hits his defenders in stride, doesn’t bail the pocket and can throw with defenders in his face. This is clearly on tape.

2 minutes in is an absolute dime, athleticism, and insane awareness to keep his eyes down the field...

Whether it’s consistent or not, just flashes, don’t know enough to make a judgment.

These shows are nothing more than clickbait. I havent watched any of these shows for probably 7 months. They are all just garbage and make crap up. You notice who they keep talking about? Not the jets.

Trying to emulate what the Chiefs are doing without Mahomes is idiotic. They win because they have Mahomes not because they don’t pay receivers.
I agree. Which makes the idea of paying Dak significantly more than Mahomes all the more insane.

KC had their Dak in Alex Smith

They didn't stand pat with a guy that could "get them in the playoffs and hope for the best"

Obviously Mahomes types don't grow on trees. I get that

But settling for "good enough" and paying top dollar for it erases any chance of getting to where KC is, which should be the ultimate goal for all Cowboys fans, regardless of which side of the great debate anyone is on. JMHO

Alex Smith wasn’t a MVP candidate or an all pro. It’s a lazy comparison.

Chiefs did a little more than get Mahomes. Andy Reid has always stressed the importance of trenches. He’s always had stout defensive and offensive lines.
As great as Mahomes is….i don’t believe you get rings without stopping the run or running the football.

Cowboys will be looking to draft a QB with their 1st round pick this is a gimmie now if its Sanders or not remains to be seen.
Your thinking totally disregards decades of Jerry Jones' thinking. Additionally, Jones traded a fourth-round pick for a first round drafted quarterback. Anyone, disregarding that fact as well, should pre-prepare for the 'unthinkable' happening next April if Dak Prescott is gone at that time.

Smith played 5 years in KC and the most INTs he had in any season there was 8. Never came close to leading the entire league in picks there. So in the interest of avoiding lazy comparisons, if you're going to place emphasis on Daks outlier All Pro season, then let's look at the other extreme from only a year earlier where he missed games and still threw more INTs than anyone else. The truth about Dak is probably somewhere in between, IMO. Just like with Alex Smith. Good, but not next level good.

As for the trenches, was 3 All Pro O linemen just not enough for Dakota? Do we need All Pros across the board?

Well the thing about Daks season last year is he’s had seasons like it before. He’s had great seasons it wasn’t a outlier.

As far as his league leading interception season…..I never exclude it. It’s a part of his journey. He lead the league in picks one year. Josh Allen leads the league in turnovers almost every year. It is what it is.

I said an emphasis on the trenches. I didn’t say he needed more all pros.

What I’m saying is you can’t win in this league if you can’t stop the run and run the football.

All Pros are great. But are your trenches great? If so, nothing to talk about.

You can’t have it both ways. Can’t say Dak is average but then expect him to overcome poor play on the trenches.

Right so why are you asking shocked Cowboy fans are obsessed over Cowboy players? Because they like played you don’t like?
My personal opinions of Dak have zero to do with this particular debate. I'm surprised anytime people are obsessed with defending someone with a proven record of coming up short in the biggest moments. Regardless of what sport they play or what team they are on.
