The Chargers have a great team and the QB should be even better this year with more experience. Wonder what the Norv apologists will say when they underachieve this year.

Yes, Toto, the sheep really are that delusional. You can argue over who has the better coach, but not who has better personnel. A quick glance at the Pro Bowl rosters will tell you that (injury replacements not included).

Yes...the Pro Bowl is an excellent resource to base this argument on.

I don't even necessarily disagree with you here, but that's a week argument.

The Cowboys will rue the day that they hired Phillips over Turner.

Norv is a great hire for them. He will do much better with that offense than the Marty ball that has been played last so many years. Marty let go some last year, but imagine what Norv could do with those players all coming into or in their prime.

The key for SD is to hire someone to keep that D up. Norv has a better shot of getting to the Super Bowl next year over Wade. Because of the talent there, not because he is the better coach between Wade and himself.

I read a 2-4 days ago that if the Chargers named their HC soon, DB coach Brian Stewart planned ask to released so he could take over as DC under Phillips in Dallas. We all know Phillips has asked Chargers twice to be allowed speak to Pagano & Stewart but was refused. If it indeed Norv & Cottrell as HC & DC, will Chargers accommodate Stewart and let him come to Dallas? We might have our new DC within 2-3 days if things work out for us. As for Bowles, he would stay the secondary coach but Asst DC could also be added to his title with increased responsibilies.

:jerk: is that really any better?

Are you seriously trying to argue that Jammer is even in the same zip code as Williams?

maybe his first 2 yrs in the league, but since woodson hasnt been around to babysit roy, he's been more of a liabilty then jammer has been for the chargers.

Seamless transition.......

Cam Cameron already ran Norv's offense and Cottrell knows Phillip's D.

yup, but norv is so much better with an offense. imagine Lt under norv's offense? thats a scary site. i think the chargers know they have a very good defense that can be coached by just about anybody. but wow LT is going to rock this yr.

You could make a strong argument for some of the other draft picks.

Jammer and Williams is not one of those arguments.

One is a SS and the other is a CB.

Roy has clearly been a better SS than Jammer has been a CB.

No question IMO.

We all know you loved the idea of Norv coming here...he did not, might be time to get over it now.

It would not be LT that would make leaps and bounds in improvement.

If anyone it would be Phillips.

LT is good enough as it is.

LT was already in Norv's offense.

His numbers most likely go down this year seeing how he had 1800 rushing, 28 rushing TD's, 500 yards receiving and 3 TD's.
