Right now, I'd give Wentz a slight nod over Dak because:

1.) The Eagles are 2-0 with him under center, and we're 1-1
2.) The Eagles offense is not as good as the Cowboys offense, at least on paper
3.) Wentz has thrown 2 TDs to Dak's 0 and
4.) Wentz had less preseason preparation than Dak.

But, peeps, this is only based on a two-game evaluation. Chillax!!!

It wasn't that many weeks ago we were saying Eagles were the worst team in the league, or 1 of them. A perennial dumpster fire mortgaged future Cap hell debacle of a team. A lot of that credit goes to Wentz for the turnaround. I think what's shocking to most is nobody expected it. He had no preseason to prepare for what the NFL brings. He didn't have time to get up to speed. His receivers drop balls like their covered with vaseline. I got no problem giving credit where it's due. I was brokenhearted when the Eagles jumped up and took him. I was all on the draft Wentz bandwagon until that happened. I love how Dak has played and hope he keeps it up but to me comparing Wentz and Dak is like comparing Troy Aikman and Steve Walsh. If you were to draw up your perfect quarterback it would be Wentz. Coming out of the draft he was physically and mentally superior to every other quarterback..His knock was experience. Being the dominant quarterback at the Senior bowl put Wentz in the top 10 of the draft

After saying that he's going to struggle. He's playing for an average team that will be lucky to win 8 games. His offensive line sucks, and it's just a matter of time before he's injured. His future is 2 or 3 years from now not today. After he was off the board my 2 was Dak in the later rounds. I really liked Prescott, and as we all found out he's pretty damn good. He'll have growing pains as well as teams get more familiar with him, but he's way ahead of the curb.

Good post. While Wentz was "dominant" at the Senior Bowl, didn't Dak get the MVP? I thought he was considered the better quarterback at the Senior Bowl. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm too lazy to look it up. :)

1) Dallas defense stinks. On Paper. Etched in stone. On the field.
A) Eagles gifted Wentz GREAT field position twice Monday Night.

My nod goes to Dak. Even if I was a fan of another team.

Dak was MVP of the Senior bowl. He threw the winning touchdown late in the game. Wentz only played a few snaps in the beginning as I remember correctly. He was mostly a spectator for the game itself.

Y'all are overrating the Eagles defense, and under rating ours. We are not that far apart. Where we have huge edge is O line and ability to protect the quarterback.

The Senior Bowl isn't just about the game itself. Wentz was widely considered the best QB in Mobile that week...

This rivalry between Prescott and Wentz has all the makings of the Aikman/Young rivalry a tick down the road.

the turnaround?? I don't get it. Yes they may have found their quarterback of the future but that doesn't mean they're gonna be a good team. They still don't have a number 1 receiver, Ryan Matthews is an okay RB but always gets injured and is almost 29 years old, their o-line sucks, their defense is middle of the pack.

Like I've said multiple times already... let's see where they are once they face some real teams.

To me it doesn't matter. Dallas is very lucky in what they may have found. Our opinions all may change a month, year or years from now. But for now, they have a guy who is someone we can be very excited about.

Thanks.

A lot of people underestimated Dak, including myself. I thought he was a glorified Tim Tebow.

However, I will say I was okay taking him in the fourth round, and no sooner. And I will say that he has the same type leadership drive as Tebow. Well, a little bit less than Tebow, but what he does have is tailor-made for the NFL.

I acknowledged that. I read all the scouting reports at the time and what coaches were saying. That's why I wanted Wentz.

Not even a question. Wentz has already won rookie of the year and is the odds on favorite for MVP.
RS, I wish I could sit down and shoot the breeze with you over an adult social beverage (or two or three).
Something tells me I would be both entertained and enlightened...

But not based on his play in the game.

I agree that Wentz is more talented than Dak and has more of the measurables. But everyone was looking at Wentz based on his measurables, and yet Dak quietly and unassumingly outperformed him in the game.

There's a lesson in that somewhere. :)

LOL.

In the front seven alone, we have only two guys who would start in Philly............ Lawrence at DE and Lee at WLB.

If their D is middle of pack, ours is bottoms in the league.

They only had 10 passing attempts each in that game. Really not much to go by.

Yeah but we have the best o-line in football, a top 5 WR, a soon to be great RB, a hall of fame tight end, and an elite QB when healthy. They don't have any of those things. I'd rather have that and a bad defense than a bad offense and average defense.
