I'm more curious what the fans fascination is with banging on a guy? I'll never get it.

funny cause I saw Chris Chambers ball out against the Steelers with his new team. I see a rookie Michael Crabtree in San Francisco doing more than Roy too. both those guys haven't been with their teams for half as long as Roy has been here.

Did you see Chambers ball out with his old team?

What ur saying is fairly obvious. Yes and Otree should be sprinkled in.

It's not obvious to everyone. I'm not sure I'm even correct or maybe is it really time to start giving some of his snaps to other players.

For however long it takes for the Cowboys to get their money's worth.

You don't give someone a huge extension like that and then take a cap hit less than a year later.

People's frustration is understandable, but I think they just need to suck it up and pray that Roy's production increase. Griping about it won't change the fact he's going to be here for awhile.

I'm not talking about cutting him. :laugh2: I'm talking about giving some of his snaps to others. At worse not giving him as many opportunities.

Wait Jimmy Johnson, the same guy who lead this franchise back to prominence, said that it takes "time" for QB and WRs to get on the same page, wow who would have thunk it!

:muttley:

But some are...

And I just don't see giving others anymore opportunities than they're already getting. It's not like he's being targeted 18 times a game. The ball's being spread around so much that I don't think you can say someone's being denied an opportunity.

I wonder what color koolaid Jimmy drinks?

...well Irvin really did'nt come into his own until his fourth season [1991], which was his first full season...he finally broke 1,000 yds that season [1523 yds]...surpassed only by his 1995 season, where he broke 1,600 yds...

They shouldn't cut him and take a cap hit. They should bench him.

I was really excited when they drafted Roy, and I wanted him to succeed, but this has to stop at some point. The offense is really struggling, so we need all the help we can get on offense right now. Roy should be the third receiver at this point.

I wonder just how many passes would be dropped if they were not thrown off his back shoulder or knee in a crossing pattern...or way too high when thrown deep and to the center of field?

It clearly takes 3 years for a QB and a WR to click.

Look at out for 911 in the second half of the 2010 season.

I agree with Jimmy on this and have been saying for a while that Dallas needs to limit RW to 3 or 4 routs that he feels confidence with. As you start making plays your confidence level and Romo confidence in RW becomes stronger so that you can open up more to RW

I say play to Roy's strengths.

Make sure he is in there on running downs. He does block well albeit a very weak consolation.

Sorry, but Michael Irvin may have dropped some balls in TRAINING CAMP, but he was never the bum that Roy Williams is, and he never had regular season production so horrid over a 19 game stretch.

For as many years as Roy Williams has been an NFL receiver, if he hasn't learned to run routes yet he never will.

If Jimmy Johnson was our Head Coach, I really believe he would be disappointed in Roy Williams' production.
