If K. Clemens had played against the Cowboys, Romo would have choked and lost the game, then it would be a friggin spotlight game, damn it!

It is not hate. It is silly to make that accusation. Romo has choked against several teams that had winning records. These choke jobs were on the big stage in front of a national TV audience for the most part. Is it hate to simply state facts? It is not bashing when it is the truth. You don't like it, but it happened several times.
It doesn't matter what his intentions are. The results are turnovers in critical situations. There are cases that the turnovers are not his fault, but in many cases they are. Don't worry, you are no less of a fan or it does mean that you don't love him if you know the truth. There is no shame in saying that he is a good QB that makes mistakes at times in big games. The only risky situations where he messes up is when he is trying to win a friggen game that the defense cannot keep a lead. Why is that so hard to understand.
Believe me, if the Cowboys could go up say 21 to 10 in with 5 minutes to go and the defense can hold that lead, Romo will not make those mistakes.
. It is not a matter of dwelling on the bad play in several big games. It happens to be the topic of discussion. He has won a couple of the big games, but the stats are clear on his wins against top teams.Has he ever won an important game on any TV game? Or do you just dwell on the ones that his TEAM loses?
FYI...if the team loses, Romo and the team loses, no matter where or when the game is played. And if the team wins, Romo and the team wins, no matter what or where the game is played.
I think you got brainwashed by this nonsense of "spotlight" games, "elimination" games, "win or go home" games or now..."trash" games.
An example would be if Romo and the offense drives down the field and the kicker wins the game, guess what? Romo had nothing to do with that win, it was the kicker. And, the same could be said in a loss.
I don't think some get it.
The games in which Romo does make his late game heroics have been in games that were not on a national stage. For the record, before you guys jump down my throat before reading my entire post which some of you tend to do, I am only explaining WHY the perception is the way it is not stating that it is a fair assessment.
People think Romo chokes because when he throws a gut wrenching pick, it has been in games that are nationally televised i.e. Jets of 2011, Steelers of 2008, Washington of last year and Denver of this year. Hell, even my mother watched the Broncos vs Cowboys game (probably only because I was actually at the game and she was looking for me). Romo actually has 4 times as many clutch game winning drives than these "choked" games. However, these games are not seen by a national audience.
As stated before, a perfect example is Washington of last year. Brazil has never had a nationally televised football game ever besides the Super Bowl with the exception of the Cowboys vs Commanders. Romo threw a pick to end the game and the general consensus in Sao Paulo is that he chokes. They obviously are unaware that this isn't necessarily true since Romo gets it down more times than not but they don't know that because they haven't seen those games.
Again, only explaining why things are the way they are. Not stating this is fair or that I'm in agreeance with the "choker" label. The Seattle botched snapped would never had been a big deal [to the national audience] if he did this in week 14 against the Falcons which was aired on NFL network because they didn't see it.

I have never ever said that, first of all. And, what are these "big games"? Every game is a big game! Can't you get that through your head?
And, there is no shame in giving him credit when he does help his team. He or any other QB in the NFL is not going to win all games...it takes the team. Romo is not the only player on that team.

I think some people fail to realize that all regular season games are of equal importance. Believe it or not, that (hypothetical) loss in Week 3 is just as big as that loss in Week 17. You win the game in Week 3, you make the playoffs. You win the game in Week 17, you make the playoffs. To treat the loss in Week 17 more importantly than the loss in Week 3 is just silly.
"Big games "are just words. So you can understand, I can say games against team with winning records. Most of the time, these games are on national TV. If you think the game against the Vikings carries the same amount of pressure as this game against the Saints, you are sadly mistaken. I have given Romo credit when he deserves it, but again, that was not the topic if discussion when I started posting in this thread. You assumed that I was a Romo hater when you jumped in. There is no history of that. I don't have any feelings one way or the other. I am not going to defend him from choking when he has blown several games when he turned the ball over late in the games. I will defend him when he deserves it. That is not the case in this situation.
I am getting so confused with words I guess.
You really don't want to. It goes against your emotional feelings for Romo.
You are exactly right! But, posters that maybe have never played a team game won't realize that. It does not matter if you lose three games in MNF, SNF, or in the parking lot to start the season, but win all the others, you still win!
Agree, but you have to win those games if you want chance at the playoffs, and all playoff games are National televised games against teams over .500. Tonight's game will be huge confidence builder if they can pull it off but it is one of those SNF games that Romo needs to win.
I guess we are going to find out if not just Romo (which you seem to focus on), but can the team win?
Can the team win, I hope so. IMO. This is one of those games Romo can use to get the monkey off his back. No it's not a win or go home situation but it's his chance and this teams chance to show they belong on the national stage because of there play not because of the star on their helmet
The Star on their helmet. You are so right!
Every team wants to beat the Cowboys because of that Star. And, I hope this team is tough enough to realize that every game they go into, they want to beat the Cowboys. The Star is cool, but a team that understands what it's like to play for the Cowboys, they are going to get the best from every team. It does not matter when the game is played. Teams hate the Cowboys.
And that means that in the spotlight games, or games with big TV audiences that hate is increased 10 fold!
