I think that was the poorest PK shootout I've ever seen. Buffon looked every bit his age on every dive. He had no range. A younger keeper may have reached a couple of those shots. Neither team looked good at the PKs.

Agree. Both teams had opportunities to win in reg shootout. They not only missed but missed badly. The guy who Italy subbed in the last minute just so he can take a PK was horribly taken.

No but I still think he is a cry baby little punk. I would take Messi over him any day. Iceland went farther than anyone expected. Germany or France will kill Portugal imo.

Ronaldo built an airport for the island he's from as the one they had was small and dangerous. Messi has just been handed a 21 month suspended jail sentence for tax evasion.

Edit: I agree that whoever wins tonight will probably win on Sunday, hope so as well. Portugal are just dreadful to watch.

whomever wins is probably the early WC favorites.
those two teams are insane.

i firmly dislike portugal because a long time ago i was in a gaming guild with a bunch of Portuguese members.
we were rather buddies and all was well until the US beat Portugal in the WC.
they left the guild, lol. not even because of americans trash talking(no american trash talked soccer 20 years ago), but just out of anger.

They might be one of the favorites. I still think Germany, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia wil be up there too. I thought Germany dominated most of the game but just couldn't put the ball in the net. The France keeper played very well.

Nothing friendly about that PK. It was a good call on an obvious hand ball. I have no idea why he went up with his arms extended in that fashion. Just asking for bad things to happen and they did.
