I'd hate to lose his leadership though. Beef him up a bit and move him to LB?

I'm gonna continue to push for Dallas to draft Quintin Demps, saftey from UTEP :)

I've been one of those irk'd with Roy's coverage abilities, but...i'd hate to lose him.

Without question, Roy is a hard hitter, dogged and has leadership skills.

Coverage is his achilles heel, no question.

The challenge for Wade is to get him in a groove where he is most comfortble. And that is closer to the line. A hybrid safety/linebacker, maybe a spy, maybe on nickel packages, maybe on only certain downs they way he is being used.

I don't see Roy as a throwaway. He has skills. It's just what is his niche that is the question.

For those who see any concern as to Roy's coverage skills as bashing, that is your problem and/or maybe you have too much time on your hands.:)

It is a sad day in CowboyZone land when Roy Williams has become the new Dexter Coakley.

I do not think we have a "weak link" when everyone is healthy.

Newman - has trouble intercepting the ball but is still one of the best 1st corners in the league.

Henry - not very fast but is still one of the best 2nd corners in the conference.

Hamlin - tries to jump and make the big play prolly to a fault but is playing very well this year and is probably one of the best Free safeties in the NFC statistically.

Roy - can get beat on the deep ball but is a force close to the LOS and is still one of the best strong safeties in the league.

That is my honest assessment ..... now we can go back to calling each other blind homers and agenda boys. :)
Very good answer.
