Video: Every Romo TD

Saying someone has "it" is different from showing it on the field and seeing it.

Answer this question. Take Romo's first four years of starting 06-09. Is he sitting a year later waiting to be signed or has he already been locked into a new contract?

Put in franchise QB in place of Romo's name, are they waiting for a new deal?

You guy's always say he will be signed, but why hasn't he? Answer that question.
Jerry definitely jumped the gun when he gave Romo his first big contract in 2007, not even a full year after Romo started 1/3rd into the 2006 season. Jerry jumped the gun once again with an even bigger (franchise team record) deal with a 2nd big contract in 2013 even though Romo's body was already breaking down and which Romo ultimately never finished playing out due to his body breaking down due to injuries.

It's clear and obvious Jerry (with help from Stephen) has learned from his past mistakes with Romo and is being cautious with Dak. Dak understands the game being played, hence why he is holding out for what he knows he deserves and has earned.

Don't worry. Jerry will have no choice but to cave in and give Dak what the QB market dictates he deserves. I hope you come back then and eat your words like a big boy by admitting you were wrong.

Some real facts, true NFL statistics, proven by math and science.

1 - People who like Romo and know he was a great QB are big smart

2 - People who didn’t like him and thought he was a choker are big dumb

And that’s my TED talk

Prescott has 8 in four years.

Dallas trailed at the half 8 times, lost all 8 games. No comebacks in 2019.
WRONG.

Dak has had 9...count them...9 fourth-quarter comebacks and 15 game-winning drives during his first 3 years. Get your facts straight.

Even while not having increased these stats throughout the 2019 season, Dak is still on pace to break Tony Romo's career franchise leading 24 fourth-quarter comebacks and 29 game-winning drives.

A actual prolific Passer.
Isn't it amazing Parcells and Payton's development plan for Romo was perfect.

He would have been destroyed if played as a rookie. Romo didn't have the mental makeup in 2003.

Well there is always one guy who thinks Dak was a better QB than Romo as a rookie...dream on! And maybe Romo gets hurt again if he comes back and maybe he doesn't nobody knows, but what i do know is you play your best players when they are healthy if you are trying to win a SB , we did not do that in 2016. If you want to make an argument that Dak was a better QB in 2016 than Romo have at it, I'll be more than happy to chop that little fantasy of yours into a million little pieces, and none of that is to say that Dak didn't have a great rookie campaign...HE DID! But he still wasn't a better QB than Romo back then and anyone with any kind of football knowledge will tell you that. So bring it on if you want, i'll be here
This is true. Romo was by far the better QB but Dak had hijacked the lockeroom. Romo's back couldn't handle a regular hit. If Dak had been an average leader there is no doubt Romo starts against Philly.

When I did the comebacks for the QBs, I only did regular season. Some QBs obviously have played more playoff games which would give them an unfair advantage.

Following this, Prescott has 8 comebacks in the four seasons he has played. So I was not wrong with the numbers.

Just to let you know, Romo also has 1 comeback an GWD in the playoffs just like Prescott that was not included in his 24.

It’s like literally everything you post has some lie in it that exposes how little you know about what you babble about. Romo’s body was not “breaking down” when he signed his second contract. Every post has some kind of ignorant lie from you.

Dak is still “on pace”? Do you even read these posts that you vomit out? How can you tell the pace of any player who has an undetermined length of career? You are riding a tidal wave of ignorance today.

You're in complete denial if you truly believe Dak is not getting extended, or you are lacking in da cabeza. Probably both. Dak is getting extended. Bank on it.

Oh, look, super quasha is stinking up the forums once again. Do I need to post Romo's injury history along with dates to prove you wrong once again?

By all means embarrass yourself you cowardly troll. Let me help you with one date: March 29, 2013 is when he signed the extension. So please list all of the “breaking down” that happened before that date.

Bye bye, troll.

Romo agrees. Was not ready in 2003
Pretty sure Payton wanted Romo starting by 2005 at the very latest..and maybe even ‘04.
Bill loved his old veterans.
He loved Romo too, but had ties to and comfort with his old guys like Vinny and Drew.
Obviously, if Romo is the starter by beginning of 2006, he's not playing special teams either.
Oh well

The only troll here is you. Here is why (Romo's injury history prior to his last 2nd big (franchise record) contract in 2013) ...

  • Oct 12, 2008 NFL Hand/Finger Fracture. Romo's injury was to his right pinky.

  • Dec 28, 2008 @ Eagles: Romo collapsed in the shower after the game due to a rib fracture. Cowboys lost winner-take-all game 44-7.
  • Oct 25, 2010 NFL Shoulder Clavicle Fracture. Romo missed 10 games but wasn't placed on IR until Week 16.
  • Sep 18, 2011 NFL Chest/Rib fracture, Lung Puncture. Romo suffered the injury vs. San Francisco.

  • Dec 24, 2011 NFL Hand injury. Romo missed 3 quarters with a deep hand bruise.
That's 5 injuries prior to his last big extension in 2013 and before the 6 more injuries that were to follow. It was clear Romo's body was brittle and injury-prone as was proven (11 total injuries throughout his 10 years as a starter).

You were saying? I'd expect an apology for the personal attacks or admittance that you were wrong, but I know you won't do it.

lol, what? Are you serious... how stupid do you think people are on this forum? You really listed a right pinky finger and a hand bruise to try to make some kind of case that a player is "breaking down". You have got to be the most embarrassingly ridiculous poster here. You never get tired of making a mockery of yourself.

Romo missed games for exactly two injuries, both involving broken bones which have zero complications when the bone heals. After the injury in 2010 he returned and started 32 straight games before signing the extension. Please stop embarrassing this board with your absurd drivel. I expect an apology for having to read this grade school dreck.

Romo was brittle and injury-prone. History proves that. Had Dak been as brittle and injury-prone, you would be hollering to not give him a big contract extension or to trade him.

I’ll say it again because you struggle with reading comprehension: he was not injury prone before he signed his extension which is what everyone can clearly see your original lie said. You posting bruised hands and pinkies doesn’t change that fact. You failed again, and everyone is laughing at you.
