Didn’t he also say you know what you have after 3 years and isn’t he the one that pulled the plug on a SB winning QB. You can’t call 1 800 QB when you never have a decent one behind your starter.
Some players it doesn't even take 3 years, look at taco and carpenter lol, Mazi is giving me the same vibes

Not according to Bill Parcels. His comment was something like ...you just can't dial 1-800-call a QB.
I remember that press conference and I did glean a ton of football wisdom from the carpetbagger.

And yet...he's wrong. He's always had questionable taste in QBs - his weak spot IMO - and over-indexed on intangibles over talent. So I think he's wrong.

Yes he did. See my response as someone asked that as well. A few posts above yours. Post #18.

Someone needs to inform Shady the Cowboys won SBs with loaded teams that had great running games with HOF backs and great defenses that stepped up big in the playoffs. Those teams didn’t quit.

Just let him go, we can find another QB it may take years, who cares!!!! We've had 8 years to see, what should we wait another 8?
You’ll care how long it takes to find another capable QB after a number of bad seasons. A lot of fans will appreciate what we had in Dak when they experience what could be year after year of futility. The Jets haven’t had a viable QB since Joe Namath. KC went almost 50 years trying to replace Len Dawson. Washington has been struggling for years trying to find a franchise QB. Glad some of you don’t run the team.

Yeah and people act like Dak is going to play forever. He may be washed in 5 years and if we don't win the Super Bowl in that time it was a big waste of time.

that's you and others, others we're fine with another person and realize their will be bumps and bruises, but it's been 8 years, what else do we need to see

Then why haven't they paid him whatever he wants and locked him up?

I chuckle at how some of you act like losing in the WC game is so much better than being a bad team, it's not. You never want to be a mid team either great or bad.

A lot of fans won’t be fine with another QB if they can’t play and it leads to missing the playoffs every year. Those bumps and bruises could last for years trying to find another franchise QB. Some of you will be fine looking forward to high draft picks as if that will guarantee success finding a viable QB.

They haven’t locked him up because he’s looking for a lot of money. He could be looking to reset the market. It took long to extend him the first time. I chuckle at how some of you act like missing the playoffs is no different than making the playoffs and going one and done. At least having a good team and making the playoffs gives you a chance.

Sucks that Houston just had success with a rookie QB, anything is possible, NOW before you get all hot and bothered, no it doesn't always happen this way (he's now calm with coog), you win some you lose some

Houston got lucky. They tried trading up for Bryce Young and failed. Drafting a QB is a crapshoot.

It doesn’t matter. Three losing seasons in a row give you a better chance at drafting a QB who could be great than sticking at mediocre for several years and never winning anything. Maholmes, Burrow, Herbert, Allen, etc., all franchise QBs drafted high in the past some years with the potential to win SBs. The problem with the Cowboys post Aikman is they never tried drafting a QB high. They simply lucked into Romo and to a lesser extent Dak.

Dak has been much better than mediocre during the regular season and his numbers and wins back that up. Three losing seasons doesn't guarantee you’ll come up with a franchise QB in the draft. Mahomes is the only one who’s won a SB of the QBs you mentioned. No Cowboys fan would be happy with Justin Herbert who has a losing QB record and who helped blow a 27-0 lead in his only playoff appearance. Josh Allen has had his playoff struggles. As for the post Aikman era we drafted Quincy Carter in the second round which was our first pick in 2001. Drafting a QB in the first round doesn’t guarantee success.
