After hearing all week why Columbo was flagged for that penalty.

Can someone please explain to me why Peterson didn't get a penalty after scoring the 3rd TD for the Vikings and then going to both knees in the Endzone ?

I am just curious what kind of excuse the Refs will have this week ...

Because Triplette's crew blew the call last week. I wouldn't have flagged Peterson either because it wasn't excessive or unsportsmanlike - he didn't pretend to take a nap, or do a snow angel, or anything.

We got screwed last week. Plain and simple.

He wasn't wearing a star. B/c Austin wears a star, leapfrogs RW and stays on his feet and gets a flag.

like what I said a thousand times.

Theres some rule about you go on your knees if your in the act of praying or something like that.

he didn't pray, but like it was already stated last week they blew the call

I tell you what. The refs didnt lose this game for us but these calls against Dallas are CONSTANT.

Make me hard pressed to continue watching NFL if these clowns are all we get for refs anymore.

They clearly control the game WAYYY to much and it's taking all of the fun of being a fan completely out of the game for me. :(

I know they blew it. But the point is they explained it that often that the rule is you can't go down to the ground. How can it be that now they are calling it different ?

I am really looking for some heads to be chopped off. That has to have consequences.

Adrian Peterson's was more of a prayer. That's not a flag, just like last week shouldn't have been a flag in the first place.

Miles Austin was clearly excessive. Why are you going to show up the entire NFL by jumping over a 6'4 guy? Had he jumped from the side it would have been a regular jumping celebration, but high jumping over Roy Williams is a bit excessive...

atleast... that's what we're to assumes since they threw the flag...

Going to a knee and Pointing to God is not a penalty. That is the exception. So basically all Columbo had to do when he fell was point up and everythign would have been fine.

He pointed up to the sky with both hands, i guess you can call that praying to some extent?

That was one joke of a call.

Shhh Weezy, it wasn't excessive.

How many chest bumps and spikes in the endzone are ok? Peterson was NOT praying.

You can't celebrate while on the ground. Columbo got flagged for doing a backflip on the ground, not merely going to the ground. Peterson put his hands to the sky from the ground, but it's prayer or some religious bull which is protected by the rules.

Austin getting flagged for jumping over a guy I have no idea about, because to me it's the same as jumping up and hugging the guy which happens constantly.

Did anyone see Randy Moss spiking the ball after a false start penalty. Favre got it off and dropped back, in doing so released a floater to Moss, who caught it gingerly and then spiked it...

The excessive celebration rule is very vague. But for one reason only, T.O. and Ochocinco.

no he didnt they said the roll has nothing to do with it, just the fact that he fell down was enough

Double standard. Get used to it.

how is it a double standard if what Peterson did is a noted exception to the rule? Did the league somehow foresee this as a way to screw us?
