Excessive Celebration

Because Triplette's crew blew the call last week. I wouldn't have flagged Peterson either because it wasn't excessive or unsportsmanlike - he didn't pretend to take a nap, or do a snow angel, or anything.

We got screwed last week. Plain and simple.

If I am not mistaken your not allowed to go to your knees.

Go back to fines. Make them larger for all I care. The current way controls the games to much. Too hard to judge these things.

You can't celebrate while on the ground. Columbo got flagged for doing a backflip on the ground, not merely going to the ground. Peterson put his hands to the sky from the ground, but it's prayer or some religious bull which is protected by the rules.

Austin getting flagged for jumping over a guy I have no idea about, because to me it's the same as jumping up and hugging the guy which happens constantly.

or running and jumping into the stands.

Funny you can't go to your knees or leapfrog a teammate, but you can act a fool and jump into the crowd after a TD!!!

but the excuse is, that is not on the field of play, bogus but still, that is the excuse

Did we learn NOTHING from last week? There shouldn't have been the slightest hint of a celebration,in any shape or form this week after the fiasco last week. It was absolutely stupid on our part, and until people are held accountable for this BS,it will continue. We have no discipline.

The Lambeau Leap has to be taken into consideration. Continuing to let players do this is just hypocricy. I know it has tradition, but since we're getting on principalities now... I just don't see how a guy can jump into the stands and not get flagged, but a guy can't jump over a guy.

What's the difference in this, and the jumping hip bump?

you know what i would like? i would like a written list from the league of the celebrations that the cowboys are allowed to do. if we do something not on that list then we get called, i would have no problem with that

This is where Jerry Jones needs to be calling the league and screaming his bloody head off.

Dallas is getting hosed by these refs and what they interpret as excessive or whatever.

Im sick of this hypocracy league wide w/ this stupid rule.

well from last week, they are told, no going to the ground, so we didn't yet still got flagged

but for it to be the lambeau leap it would have to be in lambeau, but they are allowed to jump into the stands in all stadiums, though i would not try it in cowboys stadium:rolleyes:

Did Jerry do something 2 the NFL or something cuz it just seems like the refs ar trying to screw us

It's an official exception...

You missed the memo?

Goodell told everyone at the beginning of the year that the Dallas Cowboys HAD BETTER NOT MAKE THE SUPER BOWL or heads will roll.

I think the refs are listening.:

Adrian Peterson's was more of a prayer. That's not a flag, just like last week shouldn't have been a flag in the first place.

Miles Austin was clearly excessive. Why are you going to show up the entire NFL by jumping over a 6'4 guy? Had he jumped from the side it would have been a regular jumping celebration, but high jumping over Roy Williams is a bit excessive...

atleast... that's what we're to assumes since they threw the flag...

What's the difference between what Miles did and players dunking the ball across the goal post?

As much as I think that our 'boys are being hosed with these excessive clelebration penalties, I really wonder why they're even celebrating at all.... They were 1-3 (and now 1-4)!! Enough with this cutesy celebration stuff. I need intensity on this team. I want MEANNESS!!! This team is too frikkin' nice. If they were winning, I wouldn't mind but sheeit ENOUGH now. The attitudes GOT to change!

It was a bs call lat week and then again this week. People can say what they want about whinning about the officials but it has been pretty one sided the last few weeks.

In a situation like that, you don't even take that chance. You don't leave that open for interpretation even the least little bit. Don't leave it in the hands of a ref to make that decision what is excessive celebration; If you do,you end up with the flag you saw today. If you don't see the idiocy of what was done, then theres no hope.
