Maybe if he started acting like a man and not an adolescent man child then more people would support this statement.Pay the man!!!!!
He's unquestionably the best player on offense. But the TIMING of this potential holdout, I don't agree with. My understanding is even on his current rookie deal he's still among the highest paid RBs on AAV and has 2 years remaining. This holdout is at least 1 calendar year too soon.

Despite his contract being 3 years old he's$3,853,137 this year
$9,099,000 next year
Thats not enough cheddar? hes under contract on a huge rookie deal. Dallas gave him 16.8 million his rookie year. And has defended his dumb actions relentlessly. Time for him to shut up and play football.
Agreed. The Cowboys hold all the cards here. Let's see Pollard or Weber light it up behind this all-pro line; even sign a guy like Jay Ajayi to just put more pressure on Zeke. If he's not here by August 6 the Cowboys "own" him through 2021.
Elliott wasn't going to play in the preseason anyway and he knows the offense, so he's really not doing a thing except racking up daily fines. The daily Zeke watch is going to be the biggest non-story going on for the next few weeks.
Dak is. We've won without Zeke. Dak runs the offense, plays his best when pressure is highest in the 4th quarter. We can win with Pollard/Weber getting 4.5 yds behind our great run blocking OL.
The offense runs through him, so he needs to be paid better than his current contract.
I think the Cowboys should do everyone a favor and make an example out of this guy.
how come chuck never gets to play the name game???Ah... like how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood kind of thing.
Agreed. I’m just saying a lot of people have a problem supporting him when he acts the way he has, his actions certainly haven’t given me a reason to support him. It's not Elliott's off the field antics that worry me. Teams can't assemble rosters made up of 53 angels. My problem with this is Zeke still has two years left on his contract, and he's making a ton of money as a former top five pick.
Play out your contract, prove the team can rely on you another 24 months, and then let's talk Todd Gurley-plus money. Elliott is achieving nothing by holding out. The Cowboys hold the advantage; especially if he doesn't show up by August 6.
What about owners side? Are you saying they are not paying the player what is agreed to in the contract? Why only concern with the players and not the owners side of the contract?
Dez got fired over his poor influence in the locker room more than anything else. He single-handedly prevented us from going to the playoffs in 2017 and tried to blame it on others in the locker room rather than taking responsibility for his own miscues. The little factions he created with his locker room hype was extremely divisive.yeah, has the guy been freeze dried? Hell we cut Dez over a contract, guys are cut all the time re contracts.
Dak was dreadful without Zeke.Dak is. We've won without Zeke. Dak runs the offense, plays his best when pressure is highest in the 4th quarter. We can win with Pollard/Weber getting 4.5 yds behind our great run blocking OL.
So if your employer is paying you 90k a year but you are suspended from work for being a moron, or kidnapping a girl, you should get a raise despite the contract you signed? Nope.25 million is not enough when TGurley has a 57.5 million deal.
Lets be real.

His contract is fully guranteed and next year is even fully guranted for both injury and the start of the calendar yearHowever, the contracts are not guaranteed
This is true but the issue in this situation is Zeke's contract is fully guranteed and he already has next year fully guranteed for injury. That's why people are giving him crap (he has both a top 3 fully guranteed contract and injury protection as of right now).Players are cut all the time with money and years left on the contract. Is it your contention that the owners can terminate the contract at will, and the players shouldn't renegotiate?
