100% agree with this sentiment. It amazes me how some fans can be so mean to their own players. smdh
He's not "my own player". He's a legionnaire like all of them are. No need to get all sentimental lol. He's gone, next one please. No hate, no love, just business. In the end it's all about that SB win. Then we can talk about a place in my heart.

No I believe there are 32 teams with zero interest in him. He is done, nobody has any interest in a RB that has so little left in the tank, not even for vet minimum. A undrafted walk on RB at least has the possibility of having an upside. Zeke doesn't even have that as his best days are way behind him. Just let the man walk away, that's much better then him trying to go somewhere else and embarrass himself.
I think its you that will be embarrased.
So we disagree. No big deal.

No place in your heart for any player in 25 years. Huh....how about that.

Ah....exagerate what i said in the most extreme way just to hang on to your fantasy. Got it.
No. It's normal that he's still out there because this is a natural lull in free agency. I got it.

As soon as this lull is over the bidding war will begin.

Good stuff. I love highly intelligent discussions like this.

You said it doesn't mean anything that he's still out there because this is a natural lull in free agency. Which was a great point.

So once this lull is over teams are sure to target him.

Hey, do you happen to know when this lull ends? I should know this since it happens every year.

I'm asking when specifically is this league wide lull over so teams can now sign this massive talent?

See, I was over here wrong thinking the reason he's still available is because he's shot and everyone knows it until you pointed out the annual FA lull period.

The lull would start in april, as teams have already gone after the FA they thought were worth the effort and $.
Now teams are shifting focus on the draft and who they want to try and get there.

After the draft they will fill holes with some FA.

When elliot said he would take a pay cut, I think he meant from like 15 mil a year to 12 mil a year lol.
That is speculation, and if he is asking more than vet min, then I dont think any teams will sign him for much more than that.
Teams needing a RB will try and fill that in the draft. If they dont he might get some low offers.

Then also if a team has rb injuries during camp or the season, again he might get a offer.

I think his ego and immaturity will work against him, but we will have to wait and see.

It doesn't. Because it never really starts. Guys get signed throughout training camp and on through the season. Zeke doesn't need 31 other teams to be interested in his services.. He needs one.. I am fairly confident that at least one will show up.. The question in my mind is that if they are not a contender will Zeke want to play for them or would he be better served to chill until some contender loses a running back in camp or in season. Then HIS asking price goes up as does the quality of team he goes to.. probably. The dude has made like 100 million dollars. In these last 7 years. Money is not going to play much of a factor in when and where he plays next.

Frankly with the beating his body has taken I think the best thing for him overall would be to sit out this entire year and heal up. But he aint gonna do that..

Okay buddy. You run your own NFL football team and actually have silver trophys in your closet. That;s GREAT ...I mean really great...that you know so much and have PROVEN it.

Teams are NOT signing FA's in a "fire at will' way just yet. They will see how their draft pans out. They will re-evaluate. They will watch TC injuries and chokers.

Zeke will be on a team. Wanna bet accounts? :lmao:

I agree. I could totally see zeke taking a year off. I think he should take a backup role just to be on a team and those benefits that come with that.

I still think he can play. I watched his 2022 highlights...and EXACTLY like 2021...he played quite well early. Got injured...twice on the same leg...missed a couple games but still played a lot of snaps injured. Zeke-hating darling Saquan does not play one down of any of that.

It's all good though. I dont worry about looking so cool as to be so cocksure of zeke demise. And if I am wrong...okay...fine. Wrong. But I am a positive sort of guy because I don;t need to tear down others to self-validate or join some Kool Kids Klub.

Do you think this false dichotomy was going to persuade people?

I mean FA is a month old and everyone is waiting for the draft. We have no idea what 30 teams are thinking nor what Zeke and his organization are. The two teams that have spoken do not necessarily imply what Risen story time is hoping for either.
