Yea I know. Jerry knows he was screwed, though. I don't think Zeke is going to have to worry about money. Jerry will take care of him. Just my opinion.

Ask fast Eddie D how that worked out for him in the mid 1990’s in SF.
That would be a stupid move on Jerry’s part as he is under Rog’s microscope.

I still can't believe the NFL is going to get away with this. Between the credibility issues of the accuser, Kia Roberts' testimony, and the phone records that were made public, most logical people would say Zeke is innocent or AT LEAST say there's not anywhere close to enough evidence to say he committed assault Therefore, should not be punished for DV.

Before the original suspension was handed out, I was expecting a game or 2 for him pulling that girls top down on camera, and I was okay with that. The hardest part of accepting the 6 game suspension is that it doesn't fit the evidence provided with the case, just too many holes in this one to make a judgement on his guilt. It's unjustified.

There's obviously some things going on behind the curtain regarding Jones and Goodell/Mara/Blank, and does that play a little into how the NFL decided to handle this Zeke case? Probably.

It's probably in Zeke's best interest to remove himself from that crossfire, continue to maintain his innocence, serve the 6 games, and move on.

As far as the Cowboys, we need to find a way to win 3 games over the next 5 to keep our playoff hopes alive when he returns. Don't get discouraged if we lose to Philly Sunday, the schedule softens up a bit after that with NYG, LAC, WAS, and OAK. It's doable. It might not be pretty to watch, but I don't care how we get through it... just come out with a W.

It was a fixed fight from the beginning and now finally the first good decision by Elliott's people regarding this fiasco. Good call. Go to work to clean up his image and concentrate on playing football. This BS will soon be forgotten. The Cowboy fans know that the lady was a gold digger and a liar. Time to move on the put this story behind us.
I've already moved on...can't wait for longmire

Yeah, but I was the bad guy acknowledging that obvious fact.

Just get it over with.

Disagree. I would keep fighting if I knew I was innocent. Anything less will be seen as an admission of guilt by most everyone. (Which is unfortunate, but that's just how it is.)

This whole situation has been a black hole hanging over this teams head all year. It's very very selfish to me of Zeke. Esp if this is the end game. But it's way too late now. Season over. But like I said now the while organization get a a free pass. Every player does as well.

Very selfish?

Please. Put yourself in that situation. Would you be happy to be labeled a woman beater? If anything it's selfish of you to expect him to do anything BUT fight it.

She probably has no money, but so what?

If it is about restoring your name, just having a judgement in your favor will go a long way. Even if she doesn't give you a penny.

Well, I heard that if he sued her and won, her wages could get garnished if she ever got a job.

He will lose....goodell was within his powers and did nothing wrong. Heard his case, decide to listen who he wanted to listen to, and then punished zeke.

I'd compare it to trying to sue an arbitrator....very hard to do

just because something might be within your powers does not mean that he did nothing wrong

This case just shows money buys "justice" in this country. Money is the god of today.

The NFL is a "legalized" monopoly. Billions of dollars in revenue and profits run through it each year, not only via legal gambling, but in under the table deals and betting. You can bet all of these things played a part. I don't really care for football much anymore. Nowadays I believe most of the NFL owners are little more than white collar criminals in suits.

Well, this frakking sucks.

I hope he sues Tiffany, Goodell, and others involved. They shouldn't be able to tarnish his name with impunity.

Thing is that this counts as stike one under the domestic violence policy..........a second strike is a lifetime ban. And remember, as far as Goddell is concerned, an accusation means guilt.

Dude better live like a monk from here on out...............no partying, no alcohol, and definitely no sex.

people do not understand that simple fact

now Goodie Goodell has him tied up under the guillotine with his hand on the switch

Hell Goodie said that any other police involvement could be a ban, any woman has him by the nuts now, if he doesn't call her, she calls police and Goodie bans him for life

You can sue a Ham Sandwich but that doesn't mean you should. I don't know enough about the legal footing there but let me just say that it would be very difficult to win a case like that, IMO. He would be much better off suing the women IMO. No idea what kind of money he might get but that one, he can probably win.

true but if he wins, will Goodie rescind the mark against his name?

If he sues the accuser he wouldn't even get back his legal fees. He can/will sue on fundamental fairness, which is why he got the initial injunctions granted.

He was in a legal quandary regardless of innocence. Probably figures that it’s best to get it over with and go for penalties and damages outside of the CBA scope.

Goodell has taken the joy out of watching football.
I was an avid baseball fan back in the day.I grew up playing baseball.
After 1994,when there was no World Series,I soured on the sport.
It was never the same for me.Still is not.
Goodell has turned out to be for the NFL what the 1994 strike was for baseball.
He is killing the league with his miscalculations and abuse of power.
The NFL does not need to pay the commissioner the money he is asking. The NFL sells itself.
But he is committed to sell it to those who do not want it.Quite a fool's errand.
Sell it to Europe, sell it to uninterested women, sell it to people who don't want it.
He has proven he does not understand who is the fan base.He is taking the fan base for granted.
He is giving us the finger. But we will not take it much longer.
Ratings are down,revenue will follow.
Jerry Jones knows this whole kneeling BS is hurting business.Goodell allowed it to happen.
Jerry understands business.Goodell does not.

The NFL's base fan base is Joe Six Pack, not Brie cheese, wine sipping elitists.
We are blue collar Americans.Football is 100% American.
Goodell looks down on us.
The NFL is on suicide watch. It has already lost many fans.
It will lose this one soon...only a matter of time.
It NFL has lost me. The Cowboys sort of still have me, but not like they once did.

I have an offer for free room and tix to the Washington game, but I really gave little interest. I spend time on this forum because I've been on here forever and I'm an addict.
