FEATURED FA agent thread

We have 2 players who can run around and cover, we needed a thumper at MLB. Now we have 3 players who can run around and cover but still no MLB.

After all these FA signings, our needs from seasons end are still the same

we don’t have starting DTs
We don’t have a starting FS
we don’t have a starting MLB

we’re going after among toys when we don’t have the lunch pail guys

it’s not gonna work

teams are gonna run and throw all over this defense and people like you will be: well, the FO tried in FA, it’s not their fault

Yes, it is absolutely their fault because they continue to do stupid things

:facepalm::facepalm:
Different argument, I agree we need a downhill thumper at MLB (Perhaps Nick Bolton, Missouri) and we need a run stuffer at DT (Perhaps Alim McNeil, North Carolina St.) but, I think both Galimore and Hill have shown the ability to play
3T. As for Free Safety I think will be the hardest to get because, there are only about 8 - 10 that I ever saw worth a damn and I've been watching football for 50 plus years.

I never blame the Front Office for Free Agency for one reason, Free Agency is a fools bargain.
Paying a player his previous team didn't want always gives me pause. It's rare that team lets a player they truly want walk.

I understand that teams need to use free agency to replace their unwanted players with other teams unwanted players.

And yet Atlanta didn't want Neal back and here you are claiming he's so much better than Harris and a good signing. You can't have it both ways.

I didn't say it was a good signing, I said he is a better player than Harris.

I'm not a believer in Free Agency.

Swapping out the players you don't want for players other teams didn't want doesn't seem like something to get excited about.

I personally would like to see Malik Hooker in Dan Quinn's system but, if he is signed I won't be all pumped because chances are it will fail as most free agency signings do.

competent teams FO use FA to improve their team every single year

all recent SB winners have been very active in FA

a fools bargain is signing bottom dwellers in FA like we do, to get injured bodies and then complain when they don’t contribute or get injured

I just can’t fathom why Cowboy fans just keep making for this incompetent FO year after year after year

You can worship at the Free Agency altar if that is your thing but, for every Tampa or Kansas City there are 10 teams that spent wildly on "Name" players that crash and burn.

I would prefer the draft and trading to obtain players. I would like to trade the 10th & 99th picks and a player for Quinn Williams.

TB is a great example of getting unwanted players to fit into your system and use their skills to enhance your team. Of course other teams have done it as well, just that TB comes to mind due to winning the SB. Just have to know what you are looking for and who fits that mold. I prefer quality over quantity when it comes to FA. Then use the draft to pickup fresh new talent at a great rookie price.

This ruined my weekend...

Its ok.

If Quinn thinks he can fix this guy ill watch.

Someone ought to teach him exactly when to celebrate also, and I hope he has already stopped looking like a pimp on the way into the game on his own.

As I said earlier.....the player we need him to be is in there somewhere.

That's way too much for Williams in a trade

Adoree Jackson was kind of a disappointment with the Titans. He was supposed to be a big play guy for them but never made any. Good player I guess but in the playoffs he had Lamar Jackson dead to rights for a sack and then Jackson went 50 yards for a touchdown.
