Makes total sense not protecting our 160 mil Franchise QB...for shame. How insane of me.![]()
Let’s just pick offense with every pick
Why waste some in defense

I'm thinking a couple more WR's... maybe a RB, or two...Let’s just pick offense with every pick

Oh yeah! Some more OL guys! Those are most definitely needed.
D? I've heard rumors that this draft can't even look at those guys.
Ignore them!
McClay can't look a D guy in the eye anyways.
Done dealio homio.
Let's grab some high alcoholic beers.
They signed him to a 3 yr deal with two fake years. 3 million signing bonus, 1 million base salary, and 1 million in incentives. The incentives must not be likely to be earned if it's not counted this season. So next year we will have 2-3 million dead money.According to Over the Cap, we still have $10 million in cap space (Neal is only down for $2 million of his $5 million, so I don't quite understand that.)
Anyway, that should be enough space to sign both Kazee and Hooker (at a cap hit of about $1 million each because of the rule of 51), all our draft picks at under $5 million against the cap and another FA for a first-year salary of around $4 million without having to restructure any other contracts.
If we wanted to restructure Lawrence or Cooper, we could pretty much sign any free agent out there and even more than one of them.

I don’t think they address CB until after the draft. If you can land Stokes or Surtain we are fine.I think, after we have signed our FS, we are still in the market for a NG, CB, LB, and backup QB. But, I also think we are in that phase of FA in which every day you wait, the prices go down. That's especially true this year with fewer teams having cap space. I think we will have several more signings but they will trickle in over the next few days and weeks.
Need to sign a veteran corner and then draft two corners.I don’t think they address CB until after the draft. If you can land Stokes or Surtain we are fine.
I know the players we have aren’t Thurmans Thieves but I don’t see any of them getting cut. Brown, Diggs, Lewis and a Rookie

His ability to pick them is certainly in question. Hopefully, that's because of defensive coordinator interference and not Jones interference.
what if its the best on your board? I dont see any reason to ignore the oline between rounds 1-4. Not saying it has to be at 10. Just saying, maybe one will fall to us later and we take him. Walker Little would be interesting in the 3rd if he fell. Creed Humphery as well. You can't keep throwing high picks at the OL. No team has invested more in the OL than we have over the last 8-10 years and what has it gotten us?
This is why I think people are nuts thinking taking Slater at 10 would be really smart. Shoot, he might not even be an OT in the NFL. Teams have built good OLs through mid round picks, FA, developing guys. Our solution to a OL problem is apparently throw a first or second round pick at it.
This is what I am hoping. Maybe they'll listen to the scouts more or that Quinn is smarter than Marinelli. Remember, it was Marinelli who was rumored to have overridden the scouts on both the Charlton and Hill picks. If they had gotten those picks right the defense probably would be in better shape.
I think Hill look improved because he actually hustled and gave a crap. He sadly, still ranked near bottom of all DTs. Not giving up on him thoughHill was actually looking like a player last year before he got hurt. I think it is to early to call him a bust. Let's see what he can do this year.

Don't we still have the veteran corner we signed last FA that sat out last year? Canady or something. While not a starter by any means but young, came from Baltimore Ravens and could provide something in a back up roll maybe, which is what a veteran corner would do here if signed now.
