I agree, but we do not know the ins and outs of the decision-making of Harris and his side and the interaction of agents with teams, as it were.

Hooker is by far the best talent out there and made for this defense. But the injuries..... Love the talent but not much help if he can’t stay on the field.

Usually the obvious answer is the right one. Dallas had little interest in Harris and if they did, likely not even at $5 million. They likely convinced themselves Hooker or Kazee is just as good and they know they can get one of them for less than Harris.

For the Cowboys, I tend to think they don't seek out players that can play or fill a role. They seek out players that can work within a budget bucket they have set. And they wonder why FA is usually a bust for them.

I mean he's probably not Ed Reed out there for sure, but he's much better than Woods and instead of Harris, we are looking at two guys coming off serious leg injuries.

So something tells me it's not play that's an issue here.................. it's cost.
