Sure puts that ticky tack holding call against Free in perspective.

Not for nothing, but the Cowboys' DBs have gotten away with at least one hold every game this year and got away with a couple against GB.

Scandrick has made a career out of knowing how to hold.

Are you saying Dallas as a team and OScan in particular gets away with defensive holding more than other teams, because I don't buy that notion for one second and challenge you to provide any evidence that it's true. If that's not what you're saying, what are you saying?

Green Bay got away with infractions in the secondary too. It happens both ways in every game I've seen this season. Training your OL to do their job in such a way that pushes the limits of legal blocking and getting away with headlocks and strangleholds is something completely different. The fact that Green Bay offensive linemen grab shoulderpads as a matter of technique and get flagged less for holding than players on any other team is logically curious, at the very least.

I'd pay cash money to see Jason Garrett get red-faced and in a ref's ear over bad officiating instead of standing there and clapping "go team".

Working the ref works.

Idk if it's more than other teams or not. I'm just saying that this team's DBs get away with a lot of holding. They get called for ticky-tack stuff sometimes, but that doesn't negate the fact that they get away with quite a bit.

I think it was Cruz who called Scandrick out for holding him on every play.

I guess you missed the GB game because he spent a lot of it in the officials' ears, starting with the bizarre call on Butler. His face was redder than normal for most of the game.

LOL always one in every thread.

Yeah, how silly. Only other teams hold.

Threads like these just make us look like a bunch of whiners. In the NFL, if you ain't holding you ain't trying. Every team does it. Kid yourself if it makes you feel better.

Once again. Yes. Yes. For crying out ******* loud all teams get away with holds. We all know that. Thanks for telling us for the 45th time anyway.

What is odd, as you should be able to see from the gifs @theogt provided was how obvious and egregious these were. Also, note how close the refs were to the play. Some wonder how these could be missed while one on Free was called.

It's just how I would like to see the game played, but I really don't have much of a problem with DB's getting very handsy with WR's. I really have a problem with holding not being called in the trenches. I think I just like the game to be more physical overall. I would settle for a game just being called straight up either way. Call it both ways.

Cowboys O-line usually gets called for it. Green Bay not so much. It's the truth. No face palm needed.
Can I inject some facts?
Since 2012, the Cowboys have averaged 24.2 offensive holding penalties per season.
Since 2012, the Packers have averaged 24.0 offensive holding penalties per season.

That being said, I don't think they were called a single off holding penalty in their 3 playoff games which was kind of whack.

Well, if Cruz said it it must be true.

I still don't understand what your point is in claiming that Dallas DBs "get away with a lot of holding" in a thread about Green Bay blocking technique that borders on holding and how the Packers continue to be called less for it than anybody else.

We get boned by the officials playing the same team in the same round 1 year apart.

I think it's more a product of god awful reffing. I think the replacement refs were just as efficient.

It was a poorly called game n both sides. For Dallas though the calls came at the worst time.
