It's this kind of continued disrespect that makes me cringe at "fan" ignorance. If Dak had been playing on those down years he wouldn't be enjoying the fawning and adulation he's getting now.
If you think you pull your future QB while playing lights out to insert your old inconsistent injury prone QB simply because you are paying him $20 million a year, then you are the one suffering from fan ignorance. Dak doesn't struggle when he loses his LT or #1 WR. He adapts and still wins. He has earned the right to keep the job until he falters. If that happens, let Romo come to the rescue. If not, great, the new era will have begun earlier than expected. Dak is proving we don't need Romo anymore to be a winning team. What we do need are his cap dollars to build the defense. Inserting him back into the lineup without it being necessary just prolongs his bloated salary staying on the books.
