Has anyone else grown so very tired of all the *****ing and moaning on here about the team ownership/management decisions on a daily basis? The majority of posters hated the Jaylon Smith pick. How has that worked out? The majority hated the Vander Esch pick. How’s that worked out? Many, if not most, hated the Zeke pick. How’s that worked out? Most thought drafting Dak was a bad selection, even though it was a compensatory fourth round pick. How’s that worked out? The examples are endless and I could go on and on. Every NFL team makes decisions that work out well and some that fall flat. It’s not an exact science. However, far too many Dallas “fans” (I often question their true fandom) seem to think they know more about running an NFL franchise than our FO. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic. Some of you guys are wasting your imagined talents. You should quit your day jobs and start sending your resumes to various NFL teams. Afterall, you always know better than those actually running the world’s most valuable professional sports team. Right?

It is a little surprising given the great strides this team has taken in recent years. Some of it I chalk it up to human nature, it's easy to voice your doubts and to be impatient, but some of this hate for coaches and players is pathological. Seek help.

23 years without a Lombardi
Two division rivals have won three since then.
The Patriots has won six.

Let that sink in

Yes and how many have won none? I want another title as bad as anyone. I’ve been around for all of them. We currently have a team as good as any in the league. Let’s see how it goes. There are other good teams in the league and only one ends up winning it all every year.

Until this team starts winning Lombardi trophies again, all the consecutive non-championship years is like a dark cloud hanging over everything.
It’s so dark you can’t tell human from zombies anymore. Bring number six home so the light shines again on this once great franchise!

I'm only concerned about one team. I don't care how many other teams won none.

I have a very high standard for this team

Reading comprehension is your friend. I never said you couldn’t express your opinions or disagreements. I’m pointing out the baseless statements about the FO and the claim that they don’t know what they’re doing. I’ve never made my desire to fire Garrett a secret. That’s my opinion in regards to his performance or lack thereof in a game setting. Simply saying “Jerry must be drunk again” is worthless, lazy, and unproductive.

It's part of being part of a large forum.

You get sane posters, mixed posters, off the wall posters and then some the world is ending posters. Your thread won't stop anyone from acting irrational towards the FO or anyone.

Posters will still post the stuff that annoys you. It's just how some act on here. Ignore it, block them or just don't click on their threads.

I'm invested enough in this team to think I have a right to express my opinion as vigorously and as often as I want. Every time I get my personal letter from Jerry's secretary informing me how much my PSL at AT&T Stadium has appreciated in value, it makes me feel more import to this team than I really am.

So do I. However, far too many sports fans think every season is a failure if their team doesn’t win the title every year. As a UK basketball fanatic, I see this every year from our fan base. I get it. We all want our teams to finish with a title. It’s been a long time for us Dallas fans and many have gotten irrational because of it. I used to be the same way, but I’ve gotten older (and hopefully more mature)and realize this stuff isn’t life or death. Ive dealt with a lot of real life and death and know the difference. I’ve learned to enjoy the games more and not let a loss ruin the next week for me (yes, I use to be depressed for a week after a loss). Its just stupid and unhealthy to feel that way over something I have zero control over. Everyone can handle this stuff in their own way, but don’t let it cloud your rationality.

Some of you just don’t get what I’m saying. I’m saying that criticisms should be productive and based on actual on the field performances and results. Constantly saying the FO is inept and doesn’t know what they’re doing is simply inaccurate. We have a team that is as good as any in the league right now, They must be doing something right.
Ahh, gotcha. Agree with you there. Throwing baseless insults definitely does get annoying

NO as it's what these platforms (forums) are for

The majority of posters hated the Jaylon Smith pick. How has that worked out?

To be fair the entire industry said it was a gamble.

The majority hated the Vander Esch pick. How’s that worked out?

So far so good. A pessimist would say "even a blind hog finds an acorn from time to time"

Many, if not most, hated the Zeke pick. How’s that worked out?

Off the field issues, holding out when being a first round pick comes with a 5 year commitment.
He's good but at what cost?

Most thought drafting Dak was a bad selection, even though it was a compensatory fourth round pick. How’s that worked out?

Blind luck... Had Romo and his backup not gotten hurt, Dak would have been on the practice squad and possibly on another team by now.

The examples are endless and I could go on and on.

Please don't...

Every NFL team makes decisions that work out well and some that fall flat. It’s not an exact science.

something something sherlock

After all, you always know better than those actually running the world’s most valuable professional sports team. Right?

Actually, had the FO put a professional product on the field that resulted in consistently competing at
a championship level most of these assertions you make about posters opinions would be far less.

Valuable yes, and I'm not saying marketing is easy but championship level performance is something that has
completely eluded the current FO at this point

If he does, he's going to miss out on some of the best stuff that gets put up here.

We come here for different reasons. Some are just about the game, some are frustrated coaches or GM's, some are heavy into the X's and O's, some are as you say "off the wall" (my favorite group) but we are all the same is one regard, none of us likes being told what to put or not to put up here.

It's not my job to police what anyone puts up here but it is my choice whether to go into that thread and read it or respond to it. This is a sounding board, fans vent their frustrations and exercise their right to rant and I am fine with that because I am in control of what I read or write.

There are no limits on threads or on topics of those threads. To come to a fan site and not to expect to get complaints about everything and defense of everything is unrealistic. I do not agree with a lot of the posts/threads here but I do agree to their right to say it.

I am forever amazed at posters that will spend time to go into a thread, that they do not like or are tired of that topic, and actually be rude to the OP for starting it when all they had to do was pass it on by. Would they walk up to strangers in a conversation and chastise them for discussing that?

Anyone that sees a thread that they don't like just take the "talk amongst yourselves" approach.

None of us have idea one about the inner workings of running an NFL franchise. We will never do this for a living and the disagreements here are are trivial, except in our own little world. Fans can do whatever the hell they want.

Our impact is negligible. And this was never a consensus-building exercise. So I say, have at it any way you see fit.

+100.......remember the initial reaction to Cooper trade? Oh man, few posters started at least half a dozen threads how we just traded away our 2019 top 10 draft pick.
And 75% of the posters were calling for the team to tank at that point. Heck, the usual whiners were wanting to tank after 3 games. And the same ones will do so again this year.
