Basically. Stephen and Jerry aren’t in the positions they are because of their football acumen. They bought their way in. So let’s please not act like they’re beyond reproach. Could I personally do a better job? Probably not. That doesn’t mean I can’t disagree with decisions, or question their judgement.
You'd probably hire someone who could though.

I am sure the Jones boys are more worried about the agents on the other side of the baragining table than they are some nameless, powerless posters on Cowboyszone.

Was not aware that the front office was influenced by what fans think and that their comments would influence the Joneses to do their jobs adequately.

If so, we would have had better personnel in a number of areas before they had to take years to figure it out the hard way.

+100.......remember the initial reaction to Cooper trade? Oh man, few posters started at least half a dozen threads how we just traded away our 2019 top 10 draft pick.

we did. Plus put ourselves in position to be bent over a barrel a yr later. I love the guy, and would make the trade again but it was a very steep price

As opposed to all the times fans and posters prevent the front office from doing their job?

Some of you just don’t get what I’m saying. I’m saying that criticisms should be productive and based on actual on the field performances and results. Constantly saying the FO is inept and doesn’t know what they’re doing is simply inaccurate. We have a team that is as good as any in the league right now, They must be doing something right.

The problem is often times many criticisms are backed by stats, on the field performances, etc but homers lump them in with whiners. So for many of you, there is really no difference. IF someone says something bad about the team or the front office or the coaches and backs it up with some sound analysis, they still get written off as mindless whiners.

So it works both ways.

It’s the cost of good players and trying to pursue a championship. Had we not made the trade, we wouldn’t have won the division and made the playoffs, and we still wouldn’t have a # 1 WR.

Yep, and I also understand the point of the post went right over your head but don’t fret. You weren’t alone.

Come on, man. The whole point of having a fan forum is for fans to voice their opinions. Some fans are very knowledgeable and make very informed opinions. Other fans -- not so much. It's not a big deal, but there's nothing wrong with posting, "I hope we draft so and so" or "that was not a good pick." It doesn't affect the team in any way.

Which the FO should have taken care of when they cut Dez instead of "We like who we have." They waited until the season was almost lost to get a #1 WR and it cost us a #1 draft pick. Luckily it worked out if they sign him long term.

Has anyone else grown so very tired of all the *****ing and moaning on here about the team ownership/management decisions on a daily basis? The majority of posters hated the Jaylon Smith pick. How has that worked out? The majority hated the Vander Esch pick. How’s that worked out? Many, if not most, hated the Zeke pick. How’s that worked out? Most thought drafting Dak was a bad selection, even though it was a compensatory fourth round pick. How’s that worked out? The examples are endless and I could go on and on. Every NFL team makes decisions that work out well and some that fall flat. It’s not an exact science. However, far too many Dallas “fans” (I often question their true fandom) seem to think they know more about running an NFL franchise than our FO. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic. Some of you guys are wasting your imagined talents. You should quit your day jobs and start sending your resumes to various NFL teams. Afterall, you always know better than those actually running the world’s most valuable professional sports team. Right?
Please don't spank us, Daddy.
