You have to remember 90% of them are posing in here are not Cowboy fans and are just in here to stir the pot and get a reaction. They are Cowards hiding behind a name and keyboard. They don’t have the balls to disclose who they are really routing for. Just ignore them and don’t reply to these trolls.

I agree but I think you have it slightly wrong. I think they do want the team to win, but they revel in their hated player doing crappy in the win or at least not doing well. The example I always used was the Dak fan vs hater versus Zeke fan versus hater. No one here will admit it, but If the Cowboys had 1st and goal from the 1 and you found yourself rooting for a run or pass so the hated player wouldn't be part of the expected TD (not because you thought it was better or worse for the team but because you didn't want to have to admit your hated player did something good), you are a 5hit fan. None of the 5hit fans will admit it, but their comments on here make it obvious who they are. 5hit fans put their internet credit over the good of the team. You just know the Dak haters were hoping for a couple more running TDs today and the "Dak can do no wrong" group were happy when we threw it on 2nd and goal from the 1 two different times because of their opposing but equally annoying and **** agendas

When you are hoping for plays to give you a chance to come to the Zone and crow how right you are, you’ve completely let go of what it means to be a fan.

Why? I’m not seeing anything here worse than what happens every day.

At least, this gives people a chance to clarify their position.

I don’t think it’s unhealthy. To the contrary, I think it could be helpful.

Nearly everyone on this site wants to win another Lombardi, but I think there are some on this site who prefer to see Dak get his stats more they want to see the team win championships. A/C is one of them. He will chime in and deny it, but I won't believe it for a second.

Unfortunately, it isn't up to us to get to the super bowl, the team has to want it as much as we do. Sometimes their passion is questionable.

I backed Romo on the old site, and I back Dak. I'll criticise him when needed, and I tried to be the same way for Romo. I'm glad that we had Romo at QB when we did, and I'm glad that we have Dak.

Agreed, except I was hoping we could have scored on the ground with the run much more than we did (just 1 RB rushing TD) because the Oline needs to improve drastically run blocking inside the red zone if the Cowboys are going to be successful scoring in the playoffs against tough Defenses.

No. There were a two handful of us who would get silenced repeatedly in the old threads if we questioned Romo's play on the field or decision making both on and off the field. It was 85% hard-core pro-Romo and y'all didn't want anyone saying anything negative about him or y'all would start the attacks. It's the same thing here today: 85% anti-Dak, and y'all attack anyone who supports or likes Dak around here.

Again, I wasn't part of the 'ya'll' you are talking about, but whatever.

I’m not sure I’d say that. He has a position. I’d like to see some balance.

I’ve voted no on the Dak thread for several weeks because I recognize that long term, I’d love to see an elite QB.

But I also know that there’s not a mahomeberry bush on the side of the road where you can just pluck one off.

I hope the team and the coaching is enough to give Dak the support that a really good QB (not elite) needs to win a Lombardi.

But now? At this point? The ship has sailed on any other option so I’d like to just see people rally together as fans.

Well, it’s because this is a fan site. There are people who want to have fun and support the team.

We want to hang out with fellow fans and we want to high five and hope the Boys win every week.

When you come to the Zone and all of the usual people channel their inner eeyore it’s just such a downer.

I mean an example, in today's in game thread he posted something about the usual suspects showing up when Dak threw that interception, and his opinion obviously isn't too high on that. I mean you can think somebody is wrong, but that doesn't make them a hater. This site is very polarized and there not many people I can respect for their neutrality, but I respect ksk for showing it in the past.

I remember the site quite well. All the daily garbage you spewed about Romo probably contributed to DC.com shutting down. It was non stop raging arguments and I always thought the mods and ownership finally grew tired of it to the point they decided the site needed to go away. It wasn't a healthy environment for anyone. I explained to K what a "hater" is to me: someone who dislikes the player and does not believe in that player's performance. Yes, I should probably say "critic", but there are many who do outright don't like Dak at all. I know K is not one of them.

If your comments were “I hate Dak”, that’s fine.

Could you mix in some comments that give the impression that you are still rooting for us to win every week? If we go deep in the playoffs with Dak, would that be ok? If we won a Super Bowl with him, would that be ok?

I just want for fans to root for the team.

Many years ago I called into the Ticket and said “I don’t care if the Devil is our owner, I just want to win more Super Bowls.”

I know that’s extreme, but somewhere between the Devil and Dak and Cooper Rush, there’s room for Cowboy fans to come together and want to win another Lombardi.
