Thanks for this.

So much of the toxicity around here is carryover from the other board.

Jeez, I wish people could stop carrying their personal vendettas forwards years and years later.

Why does CZ just have to be a carryover from the beefs going back decades between posters.

That seems straight up crazy to me
The thing is I wasn't a part of the arguments back at DC.com. I never took part in any of them. But I'm a part of it now because I decided to take a stance against Dak as the QB for my own reasons. Sometimes I regret getting involved but it's too late to back out now. If Dak can somehow lead the team to a championship, sure, I will certainly reconsider my position. Right now, and until he can show up against the better teams of the league, I'm not going to trust his ability to take the team where it needs to go. This stance pisses off some members, but I simply don't give a damn what they think or say about me.

Just because ksk may believe that Dak isn't good enough to get the Cowboys to a championship, doesn't make him a hater. He is one of the more reasonable posters on this site like Diehard, IMHO. I mean an example, in today's in game thread he posted something about the usual suspects showing up when Dak threw that interception, and his opinion obviously isn't too high on that. I mean you can think somebody is wrong, but that doesn't make them a hater. This site is very polarized and there not many people I can respect for their neutrality, but I respect ksk for showing it in the past.
Not surprised both of you are active in the game thread instead of watching the football game. Not surprised at all.

I mean, I'm not much different from when I was on the old forum lol. I'm just 30 now with a nice job ATM, I have a fursuit, and ive been going to cons lol. Oh, and I live in a completely different part of the country than I did then. Otherwise, I'm the same furry.
What’s your suit? Fox? Wolf? Platypus?

I love beating the crap out of teams. I love winning. But I shouldn't be obligated to kiss Dak's butt or start worshiping at his alter just because he had a good game today. And I won't.

Let's see if he can do the same against better competition. Lets see if he can step up in the playoffs. Maybe then we'll start talking about giving him deserved props. Right now I still don't trust him. You know who else was able to beat up on the bad teams but could never get it done in the playoffs? Yep, #9.

Go ahead and call me every name in the book - I don't care. I'm entitled to my opinion as much as any other member of this site.
What do they call people who make up arguments so they have someone to argue with? Show me one post, copy and paste it from anywhere you want from this site. But I want to see where someone said you had to worship Dak or kiss his butt. I really want to see it.

I think you’re completely making it up though.

At the most I think you might find where someone wants you to be balanced in your criticism, , but I don’t think you can provide me with proof that someone is sayin the things your saying. I think you make yourself believe they are saying stuff that they aren’t saying so that you can argue or troll.

I hope you enjoyed the game today. They have a great chance of being 7 and 3 after next week. It's a good time to be a fan.

so they can trash the player they hate make me sad. Lucky I’m old enough to remember when most fans rooted for the team regardless if they loved or disliked the QB or any other player.
There is a few on this very board.

One of them actually came out and said I want the Cowboys to lose because I don't like Dak. Literally

Dude, call out Dak when he messes up or doesn’t help us win.

Maybe every once in awhile say something about things the Dallas Cowboys do right or wrong that isn’t Dak.

I guess it comes down to is that right now, you have one position, in every thread, it’s like a drumbeat.

You watch the games. Surely you have opinions on other topics beyond Dak.

Dak negativity is like your brand. If that’s your angle and you think you are fighting against the universe and it’s up to you to hold the line on behalf of every fan who isn’t sold on Dak, ok. No one can change that.

I just choose to think that every fan is a bit lore nuanced than that.

You know something that I do miss from the old forum? The fireside chats that we had. There was a time while I was at university where a bunch of us would just chat about whatever came to mind. Not necessarily football related. It was just whatever everyone wanted to chat about. I kinda miss it because, after I would do my homework in the lobby of the dorm area, I'd get on and just chat. That was fun.

Horse hehe. It's in my pfp. I have a full suit that I can show you in DMS if you want. I was the lone fur on the old forum for the longest time lol, and I've been the lone/one of the lone ones on this forum since I joined. In fact, the name on here I have is my furname.

The game day chat, while not that, is much more friendly and there’s camaraderie that isn’t in the actual game day thread

Fireside chats sounds nice!

It wasn't so much a fireside thread thing. Basically, we'd take whatever was the biggest thread for the night, and we would just chat about whatever came to mind. It was fun.

Dude. You toss fire at people who even support your position.

With my teams and in my leadership philosophy I tell them

“when there’s a fire, some people bring gasoline and some bring water. If you’re on my team, you better bring water.”

You have a canister of gas strapped to your back.

You can do better.

So can I.

That’s a lonely road in a forum like this

Props.

Why haven’t other teams done the same thing against the giants??
Sure we beat them bad tonight, and the first game. No doubt. But...

The 49ers beat them by 18 points.
Seattle beat them by 21.
Miami beat them by 15.
The Raiders beat them by 24.

They have literally been blown out in 6 of their 8 losses.

Edit: I for one am loving the trouncing, just pointing out they really haven't been all that competitive this year even with a better (ish) QB playing.
