Waiting for avengers I expected cheesy, campy. They took multiple superheroes and made it good ride.
They mixed them well, normal form/superhuman form........"I don't know what my father thought was so special about you" paraphrasing...... "Get the suit"

Avengers was solid, and they played to multiple audiences... And Marvel is always tongue and cheek, so going full blown with "GOG" worked like a charm.

These reboots are horrible! This X-men crap, Spiderman crap, TMNT crap, and this will be as well.

X-Men was rebooted?

There was no reason to do a FF3 movie with the original cast or any one associated with writing or bringing those first two movies to the theater. They were poorly done and odds are a third version of that group would have been poor as well. If they wanted to have those characters in a movie again it had to be a re-boot. That doesn't mean this one will be a good movie, either.

Sorry mobile, android won't let me hit return. As for FF, as well as spiderman, they just make these crappy stories, I wish Marvel would buy the franchises back. On a different not, I REALLY want to see a Punisher movie.

I didn't think it was a re-boot. I just saw it as a prequel, which is why they were able to bring back the same actors from the other X-Men movies.

A re-booted Punisher movie? :D

I agree that the re-booted Spiderman movies weren't that good. That is just bad writing and film making. It didn't have to be a re-boot to be a bad movie. They could have made Spiderman 4 and 5 and they probably still would have been bad. Bad movies are bad movies whether they are re-boots or not.

Somewhat reboot. The term for this is "retcon".

Don't mean to sound like a knowitall, but there are a few other movies that kind of fit this bill too, like Star Trek.

It helps wipe the slate clean and page the way for fresh storylines without having to present an origin story moviegoers have already seen so recently, and also temper payrolls for the actors.

Problem with the x-men franchise is that they spent 2 movies doing this and now the new core of stars are just as famous and expensive as the last group (Lawrence, fassbender).

(I'm just thinking out loud, just go with it)

Call it, what you want to call it, but with the X-Men franchise they messed it up with #3, and tried this "retcon" or as I like it call it a reboot, with 1st class.

As for Star Trek, I love Trek, DS9 is my favorite. The 2 movies were entertaining, but from a Trek side, they were horrible.

I just am getting tired of the X-Men/FF/Spiderman/Rest of the Marvel universe, not being united. They can not call them mutants, outside of X-Men which is garbage. And them using the same character in X-Men as in Avengers 2, I mean, Comeon!

I am kinda wishing, DC does some good with the whole Justice League, but IDK, that is another story.

I am actually happy the xmen universe is separate. That's one thing I never liked about marvel cross overs. If mutants exist, that means there are thousands of capable characters of being heroes, and then it just detracts from guys like iron man... At least for me. I mean, who is there to save if one in 6 people are hero material?

I would like to see spidey in there. But his story has been beaten to death so much the last few years, how would they introduce him?

The teaser has me intrigued. Hopefully, the director can bring that same context or feel to the big screen.

It's way past time for Marvel Entertainment/20th Century Fox to put a respectable version of the World's Greatest Fighting Team in theaters along side Marvel Studios/Paramount Pictures' The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes. So far, the Tony Stark character has been an unmatched intellectual genius in the films. That has amused me for some time since Marvel always portrayed Reed Richards with an intellect that superseded even Stark's amazing brilliance.

Looks like Sue Storm will be a strong willed character. Hopefully her powers will not limited this time. She is the most powerful member of the group. There is zero need for nosebleeds this go round. I wonder how the director will develop the Reed Richards/Ben Grimm friendship? The teaser doesn't really provide any clues for that bond, which should be central to the story (jock and scientist). I want Johnny Storm as an independent extroverted character but not done as over the top as Chris Evans played him in the first two movies.

Does anyone else get a horror/suspense type vibe from the teaser? That would be an interesting theme for a superhero movie to take. I had hoped for that type of story feel from the Ghost Rider films and got pure junk in return.

Easy, people like me, don't watch that crap. I also erased spiderman 3 from my memory.
