Without the name of the player in the title, I was thinking McClain as I was clicking on the thread.

Such is Rolando McClain.

Trade Ron Leary for a legitimate option at middle linebacker.

And send Ro packing.

Don't let your spite (which I fully understand) get in the way of the team's best interests. Yes, Ro will be out of shape at the start of the season. Yes, Ro will need a few games to get up to game speed. And yes, when he does reach that level, he is an absolute enforcer on the field and gives this defense an edge, which will serve them well later in the season.

we all know it is mcclain.
i dont think leary will get you a better mlb than what we have in the stable, or even a fat mcclain.
besides should probably see what happens to jaylon in a few months before devoting more resources to lb.

Is he good enough to get to live by a different set of rules than everybody else?

They have Hitchens at the mike right now and he's been solid when out there. The 4th round pick last year Wilson is also a mike. But when Ro wants to play he's exceptional.

Cowboys are coming off 4-12 season and the D is its weakest link on the path to post season. Can't keep throwing away more D resources because coaching staff doesn't know how to motivate players to be their best.

If player is outspoken, practices as hard as he plays and passionate about poor game planning and play calling then he is unmanageable. However if another player is a poor practice player and is always shirking OTAs, oft injured but a quiet producer then no problem.

Its not okay to be LATE to meetings but it's okay to MISS meetings and practices as long as you have a feeble excuse.

All true. And I'm sure they would love to move on without him. Unfortunately the talent /depth doesn't allow them to do so just yet.

I've been saying this for 2 off seasons now. But he keeps showing up for games and playing just well enough for some people to stay happy. He needs to be replaced as soon as the opportunity is presented.

I bet you have a Greg Hardy shirtless poster above your bed.

Nothing new, that's just him. Thankfully, this SHOULD be the last year we have to deal with the weekly question mark that is Rolando McClain.

Edit: With that said, he seems to have a game or two every season where he takes over and makes a play that seals a game for us.
