As long as it's under his control, though. That's the thing, his ego won't let him do what's really necessary, until the elusive SB win comes around again.
At that point, if he's still around, I suspect he'd hire a general manager since he'd have "proved his point"...
Bitterness has changed this dudes life.
It festers like an infected sore that never goes away. Eats away at you and then you end up being bitter towards everything. It really is a shame what bitterness does to a person.

We still have a legacy but it's a new one, we are no longer hated because of success but are more of a punchline for failure and referred to as 'One and Done' when it comes to the playoffs. We also have Jerry and his offspring to thank for this legacy. We no longer have one. Jerry has seen to that.
You're the most bitter person on here.Bitterness has changed this dudes life.
Only towards haters like yourself. Otherwise I’m one of the most positive. You're the most bitter person on here.
The fact you let what strangers on the Internet say makes you bitter is sad and hilarious to me.Only towards haters like yourself. Otherwise I’m one of the most positive.
Good.
Org needs to stop living off of legacy and go build one.
Sports are about what's in front of you not behind you.
Fans and Jerry are why Jerry is still here.
By his thinking and thinking of so many delusional fans that SBs are everything he has a remainder of career pass to suck.
Dallas fans need to be humble. Win a playoff game? Celebrate it because it isn't that often.
I don't really believe that my team has become a joke. I've been a fan almost since inception and even though they are not what they used to be, the game isn't what it used to be. Some things are better but several things have ruined, (or at least have made it not as enjoyable), the game in my opinion. I won't go into details but I've not ever heard that Dallas has become a joke of an organization. Even if I did hear it, I would not pay attention because I don't care what others think about my Cowboys. The Cowboys have become a joke of an organization, living off the past. It's a Boomer org.
Couldn't you say that about the NFL as a whole? It's always been about the dollar hasn't it?Oh we are building a legacy alright. It just isn't a legacy of winning. It is a legacy of nepotism and incompetence. It is a legacy of favoritism and greed. It is a legacy of shame.
i agree but dudes been pretty dang good in that 2nd half last year in the super bowl and now,,, that's pretty lucky getting a seventh round running back that can run like that and the way he comes out of the backfield to receive...I get what you're saying, but even in the last offseason after Zeke got cut (which I had no problem in it of itself), I was raising concerns about our run game. I had concerns that Pollard wouldn't be enough. The LB group was thin as it was. I was wanting them to beef up the Lb group a bit more, and I wanted the best running back they could get. Fast forward to now, I hope shutting down the run when we are on defence and beefing up our running game is a priority this offseason. Every QB needs a reliable running game. Look at the Chiefs this year. Especially with their WR issues, they wouldn't be where they are now without Pacheco.
I was happy then...because he got rid of the progress-stopper Tony Romo. Now...Dak has become a dry hole that Jerry thinks is going to turn to a gusher. Dak is a progress-stopper. We are stuck in mediocrity.Dak wasnt always bad. Were you happy when he became the starter in 2016 and went 13-3 and won the NFC East as a rookie? No one expected that. He wasnt even suppose to play for a few years. He was considered developmental.
You're so close...one other important position choked...i agree but dudes been pretty dang good in that 2nd half last year in the super bowl and now,,, that's pretty lucky getting a seventh round running back that can run like that and the way he comes out of the backfield to receive...
as much as i would love a strong run game like the lions head kind of hard to win a game when your defense can't make any stops at all.......... in that last game against green bay we pretty much fell flat in every category, you know like the lions defense in the second half choked

One thing that struck me through this is that dynasties are coaches. Really great coaches in their prime. When they go, the organizations frequently fall into obscurity. Post Lombardi Packers. Paul Brown Browns. Shula Dolphins. The Niners have been interesting in that they have had several good coaches post Walsh so its not impossible to recover.Nobody cares about the Browns anymore. That's what's going to happen when Stephen takes over and the old time fans die off unless they start winning again. Our legacy is tied to 2 coaches and that's becoming ancient history.
