Felix Jones and Chris johnson highlights

anybody can run in a straight line......

the run itself was bland......

the real seasoning came at the LOS.....where the DL and LBs were completely abused by the OL and other skill players.

If you look at the play it wasn't a HB dive... it was supposed to be something to the outside CJ cut it back and went up the middle..... I don't understand 60+ yard TD's runs aren't impressive what does he have to do take it 99 yards to the house? stop being bias. The OL that your given all the credit to I guess you fail to see the defender in CJ face almost immediately after the ball is handed off to him.

So if Felix Jones would have done that and scored would you still consider it lame? By the way i can run in a straight line but I doubt that i would have scored.

yes....CJ is fast, as is Felix.....they have top end speed.

i would give more credit and accolades to the blockers who allowed the RB to go untouched for 66 yds than the RB for running straight up the field.

he didnt cut it back........Chris Long over pursued and left a wide open lane that my dead grandma could have run through and scored.

Good idea on keeping stats of the rookie RB's.

But, I would rather have number of carries, yards per carries, number of catches, yards per catches than total yards.

I'm too lazy to do the math =p

That isn't what long time Titans "Super Scout" C.J. Broccatto thought about the two. Broccatto had Felix Jones rated as the number 2 running back in the draft, behind McFadden. A guy from the Houston Chronicle stated this fact. Broccatto is one of the best scouts in the NFL. He is well respected and has been doing it for years.

The Titans wanted to draft Felix Jones, but Dallas wanted him bad. Jeff Fisher even played some mind games with Dallas by some of his comments in the media about DeSean Jackson. Fisher talked about craving speed and size didn't matter. The Cardinals may have taken Felix if they didn't go CB.

Chris Johnson had the long TD run where he showed his straight-line speed. He had a little mini-hop or micro-mini cut at the start.

However, look at Felix Jones' five yard run right up the gut where Felix pushes the pile forward for 5 tough yards. Felix did this in the SEC on a consistent basis, but some Dallas fans said that he couldn't run between the tackles or get the tough yards. I knew it wasn't true, because I watched him play many times.

Can Chris Johnson do this on a consistent basis? How did Chris Johnson block last night, because Felix had two really good ones.

The knock on Johnson was that he was a straight-line guy or a speed back who wouldn't be able to get the tough yards and would wear down.

I'm sure Johnson will help the Titans, but I would take Felix over him all day and celebrate.

If Felix had a 66 yard play for a TD..Everybody that wanted Felix over CJ would be throwing that in our faces. I still believe will Felix be fine in Dallas..yes...I really Believe Dallas would have been better drafting CJ. Neither Felix or CJ is not a every down back. Do you think Felix could have made the same play that CJ made last night.... NO . If you look and freeze (5second mark)the video highlight on the NFL.com you would see CJ had 2 defenders to beat. 1 was on his right even with him and #41 was 2 yards in front of him and had the angle on CJ, but he still blew past them. Felix doesn't have that type of speed(hardly anybody does).

Which back will have a better season... Probably Felix...why Dallas is a better team. Dallas passes first and runs second. Dallas's passing offense is alot more dangerous than Titans...

Titans have no pass offense.. They either run with the RB's or Vince.

CJ would have a HUGE year in Dallas.

Since April..I have had the same feeling that I had in 1998 when we didn't draft Randy Moss. :bang2:

BTW Tuesday Chris Johnson will be a Dallas Cowboy.... right after I go buy Madden 09 lol

Nice run by CJ. I think he will do pretty well. But his a straight away runner that doesn't have wiggle as what some say here. I've seen his videos and he doesn't have the vision like Felix. He is faster than Felix thats for sure.

I also like to point out that we had a runner called Aveion Cason ran that same play with almost the same speed. Up the middle and was barely touched.

I know I'm biased because Im a Boys fan. But I think we'll all be happier with Felix in the long run.

CJ as straight-line guy is more from this site then "the line" on him. Just because someone is fast...real fast...does not mean you should sterotype him. He only played two series and they sat him down. Anyway you slice it, 7 touches and 90 yards vs the 1st unit works just fine for playing 1/2 quarter. I wouldn't make too much out of one game or one run though.

I'm not about to argue with anyone on how good Felix is. I like his fit with the Cowboys.
