I can tell you how this went when these guys saw CJ's highlight, "Wholey ****, look at that son of a ***** run, good God almighty". then turn to their keyboard, "well all he did was run in a straight line".

Felix would've scored on that Johnson run as well, I thought he was going to score on the swing pass - you could tell he was starting to kick it up a notch once he got into the secondary.

It was only one game, but Felix showed me something in his first game. The guy is a step above the average nfl back and should help us this season.

Definitely, if Felix would've been the feature back anywhere he would've been long gone before our pick.

Same deal with Tashard Choice, he was a Heisman candidate before he got injured. I watched him play a lot in the ACC, he's basically just a warrior. Haven't felt this good about the RB position in a long time.

IDK the average NFL back up maybe but I want to see more out of him if his pass blocking is suspect then I don't expect him to see the field that much.

IDK about that he could have been a lame back and I don't think he has top X amount of talent if he did he would have A transfered or B been a higher pick. In college there's no point in riding the bench since it effects your pay check at the next level also you want to get prove that you're can be a solid contributor there's always exceptions like the dudes from Auburn however the norm is either you stick around to increase your stock or you transfer for more chances. Felix did neither.

that said, we still don't know anything about these guys. Both felix and CJ look like playmakers, lets have this debate again come week 5.

It may have impressed some folks more if they would have shown CJ's one reception---very nice cutback and inches from breaking it. They were talking about him on NFLN last night and will show a rerun of the game today. Also another run had a very sharp cut and followup cut to get a few hard yards....even that one looked like he came very close to escaping--and it's over when that happens. Again, have to keep perspective in the preseason, but he looks very electric.

Fairly said. I think it's pretty safe to say they both have some above average skills and both are likely to succeed in the NFL.

And for me, that's makes a prospect like CJ a lot more intriguing than say Felix...He's got game changing speed...The speed aspect was well known even before the draft but I guess they questioned his skills as a runner and level of competition...Looks like a steal perhaps

I can understand why some would be wary of someone with surreal speed...the tendency is to think "track guy" or "workout wonder" becasue there have been many like that in the past. But this dude looks like a football player....as does Felix, by the way.

Some forget that 2 tenths of a second faster in the 40 is huge if it translates on the field...easier to think of a fairly slow 4.65 guy vs very fast 4.45....than outrageous 4.24 vs 4.44...but it is still the same separation. One hits a crease and the saftey can get and angle and make a play, the other...no chance of catching him.
