If TCU didn't lose those two games they might of been in the title game.
I'm surprised Notre Dame didn't get a first place vote after their resounding victory over Hawaii.

People put too much stock in bowl games that don't matter.

I know. I constintly hear it from all directions.

The thing I don't really get is that people act like Ohio State is nothing. I don't know, the Ohio State team I saw was pretty good I thought. Your offense needs work but Wells and Pryor along with Robiskie making catches on the outside, there's some talent there. I can talk tell I'm blue in the face about how good OSU defense was this year but it's all for naught. Nobody want's to hear it so.........

Ohio St lost two National Championship Games and then to USC in blowouts and they take a lot of crap for it.

Whether you agree with that or not is up to whomever.

But the fact of the matter is Ohio St is a very good team.

Pryor needs to improve obviously...but if he does and they get their offense in gear, they have the defense...they can be right back on top.

Here's to 2009 Buckeye fans!

Let Utah play in a real conference. That's all I ask.

There's barely such a thing anymore. Yes the elite teams in each of the BCS conferences will always be juggernauts, but Utah could probably beat damn nearly 3/4ths of the SEC right now. Tennesee, Vandy, Kentucky, Georgia? Please. I think not only Utah could see those teams, but Boise as well. They've proven as much.

i just wanna make one comment to everyone that keeps dogging texas for a "poor" performance in the fiesta bowl...

out of penn state, alabama, and ohio state, who had the most to play for?

the very easy answer would be ohio state, who has been embarrased in bcs games the last couple of years. they played with a lot of pride, they are a very good football team and like ive said before they are gonna beat USC next year and win the big 10

No doubt in my mind.

These teams have proven that for one game they can rise up and beat a national power that couldn't give a **** about the game there in. Let them play these guys week in and week out. Let Boise St play OU then TTech then OSU then Texas. Let Utah play Alabama then Georgia then LSU then Florida. Please indeed.

They already do play teams of that caliber just for the fact that conference vs conference outside of maybe the Big 12, you'd be hard pressed to make the argument that any are head and shoulders above the Mountain West. BYU, TCU, Air Force. Do any of these teams need to be scared of Vandy, Kentucky, Georgia, Arkansas?? Any of the MW teams can go head up in a full season against the same teams you're making an argument for. Outside of Florida, and maybe LSU, who is the juggernaut that would own any of them head up? Look at the Big East, The ACC, The Big 10. It's the same deal. While Utah likely wouldn't have ran the table, 11-2, 10-3 is certainly possible.

i think they would contend in any conference. imo they would have won the big east, acc and big ten and competed in the pac 10 and big 12

Blake Gideon sucks. He had as bad a game at safety against OSU as I've ever seen. I know he's just a freshman but damn. I hope Texas has something better than him next year.

Would it be possible to ask all Longhorns fans here to make a pact that we all refrain from mentioning this <rooster-vacuum>'s name ever again? There isn't a day that goes by...nay, a single moment that passes where I'm not thinking about the gift-wrapped interception he was literally given by the Texas Tech qb that would have sealed the victory for UT - only to allow it to float softly through his overly girlish hands and fall hopelessly (along with Texas' national championship hopes) on the ground.

Utah took the #1 spot in 4 of the BCS's 6 computer rankings. Interesting.

No, they don't... and USC doesn't deserve to 3rd...

The proper order is Florida, Texas and Oklahoma... you can't jump SC and Utah over Texas, not when Texas won their bowl game against a top 10 team...

Ditto.

Utah at #2 is a joke.

They beat Michigan by 2
They beat Air Force by 7
They beat New Mexico by 3

Florida
Texas (who probably got robbed blind in all of this)
Oklahoma
SC

1. Florida
2. Texas
3. Utah
4. USC
5. Oklahoma
