I don't think we should. The real issue this year was the Defense. They stunk it up and lost way too many games for us.

so the HC is not responsible for the defense?
i thought that was one of the differences between HC and OC?

just trying to understand

really, because we got more TOs in 8 games in this defense than we did all last year. We killed last years total. And before anybody talks about yards, we wee middle of the pack in scoring well into half-way in the season. And that as the alleged reason why we fired Rob Ryan, i.e. TOs. Why are we still stuck at 8-8 and our offense totally abandons the run even when we don't have Romo to blame?

Just because one area of the team was worse doesn't mean Garrett is off the hook for all the mistakes he has made and continues to make.

The defense sure looked good last night especially with Lee out. It will be fun to see how our previous defensive coach does against the Eagles next week.

Why not? Worked for him last season.

Ok but how many games did the defense give. And wasn't Callahan calling the plays???

How is the head coach responsible for the def coordinator he dint hire him GM did fire him!!!! HC is the GMs (B) Female dog!

The defense was a major problem for the second year in a row. No doubt it contributed very well to losing many games.

But that isn't a good enough excuse to defend Garrett. We lost 5 of our 8 games where we were better on turnover differential. How many times did our anemic offensive strategy leave a crappy defense on the field? No doubt the defense needs adjustment and work, but we lost games on coaching as well.

Again, the defense being awful doesn't excuse Garrett from the mistakes that he's made. And if Callahan is making mistakes (like failing to call run plays), it's Garrett's responsibility to step in and tell him what he wants.

Well according to Broaddus Garrett's been calling the plays since the 2nd NYG game. Even if Callahan has been calling the plays all year it's still Garrett's offense that they ran.

It's hard to put the offense on just one of those guys, but Garrett is still in it. I dislike the entire system. It is over analytic and puts too much reliance on the QB adjusting each play.

Offense is fine..In my opinion we need to commit to the run to win games with a lead late in games. Don't get away from the run because we are down 7

Third straight year in the bottom 10 in pass defense, right? Not exactly a mystery what's holding us bank from the brink.

Yes, it's on Garrett to fix it, but when it's a single limitation holding you back, and your coach has demonstrated the ability to address position group limitations, it makes a lot more sense to stay the course than it does to blow things up and introduce a dozen other breaking points.

How is that, "Fine"??? it's a well established pattern by JG. He's never going to commit to the run, ever.
