Give me a break? Cowher made many mistakes as a young coach. I said before it's refreshing to have a coach who has restored the order to Dallas and gotten rid of all the unprofessionalism. He ticks me off too... but I don't think he should be fired! Geeeesh!!

Who said fire him?

I was coming to this thread thinking it was yet another hysterical rant.

Cowher had a rebuilding project. Not the faux rebuilding project that Garrett supporters on here wanna claim...but an actual one.

Garrett has been a coach here for 5 years. We have plenty of material on him now. The team is sloppy, unprepared (looked bad after a bye and again after a 10 day break), and making similar mistakes that they did under Wade still. The 3rd down conversion rate and redzone efficiency for the offense continue to float in the lower half of the league. There's nothing he is doing as a HC or OC that is particularly unique or enticing. He's mediocre at best. We have too much talent at key positions to be led by a mediocre coach. We need a guy who is not getting out-coached each weekend and relying solely on his talent to win games.

Cowher owned up to his mistakes. Garrett on the other hand will spin them with his Princetonisms.

I don't think you fire Garrett after one year, but you tell him he needs to hire an OC. He is not the legend many here believe, he needs the help even if he continues to call the plays.

And yet he hasn't had a full training camp to work with these guys yet. Everyone knows this team still needs some upgrades yet. We got a whole lot younger, and probably will be younger next year. Lets see all the changes and no training camp. Yet this team can still control its own destiny....this team was 6-10 last year!!

Baby steps and growing pains.

In two years you wont find a Garrett basher.

We are headed in the right direction. A good draft and a few choice FAs and we are where the Saints and Packers are at now.

The circles big, when you aint at the top it sucks, but keep moving round and you will get to the top again. Cycles. Just the way it is.

Really? We were out coached yesterday? Maybe we could've coached the O-Line up and they would have blocked better? Or maybe we could coach up DeMarco a little bit and he would have run harder. Or maybe if we would have been coaching Newman or had been preparing him better all these years, he could actually make a play!!!!!

Or maybe just maybe these guys need to go and play football with the same intensity that every team has against us. When will this group of players take it upon themselves to not be mediocre......Unfortunately probably never. You could bring Landry and Lombardi in here and these guys would still be just freakin' average!

You can see these guys look around and try not to be the guy that makes a big mistake because then that guy has to talk to the media all week, and they are always expecting someone else to make a play instead of manning up and beating their man!!!!!!

If I was a Cardinal fan yesterday I would be excited about the future........Just a whole heck ofa alot of want too..........These clowns.....Not so much.

Expect us to get blown out by the Giants. It will look like the Eagles game. Bunch of damn quitters!

Man...you would think that Garrett just killed someone!

The team lost a game. So fire all that has already been built.

Yeah, that's a start!

It is worrisome when an NFL coach makes such an awful and obvious error. It isnt that he made a mistake, it's the content of the mistake. I've literally never seen either of the late game errors he made, let alone both in a span of seconds.

"Fire him" is a stretch, but I wish we'd stop acting like it mwas just a normal coaching error because it simply wasnt. It was a horrendous sequence of events that nobody will ever be able to explain without building in excuses.

Huh? Cowher took over a club that was in pretty good shape. They had been 7-9, 9-7, and 9-7 the previous three years. He took over a team that had their Hall of Fame coach retire. The team was actually slightly OLDER after he took over than before. That isn't "rebuilding."

Garrett took over a team that reluctantly fired its head coach and also reluctantly cut bait on a bunch of overpriced vets and replaced them with UDFAs and draft picks.

Hahaha. I love this training camp excuse. Did Harbaugh or John Fox have some magical training camp with their teams? Garrett has been here 5 years now. This isn't his first rodeo. He's affected no change in that time. We're still the same sloppy roller coaster of a team that we were in 2008. We're losing worse now even. He's been responsible for the two greatest collapses in franchises history, and just became the first coach to even ice his own kicker, probably at any level of football from pee wee on up. Just a little trip down memory lane that I posted on another thread:

Sept. 11 at NY Jets
L, 27-24
4th quarter lead: 14
Lost game on ... Nick Folk 50-yard field goal with 0:22 remaining

Oct. 2 vs. Detroit
L, 34-30
4th quarter lead: 13
Lost game on ... Calvin Johnson 2-yard TD catch with 1:39 remaining

Oct. 16 at New England
L, 20-16
4th quarter lead: 3
Lost game on ... Aaron Hernandez 8-yard TD catch with 0:22 remaining

Dec. 4 at Arizona
L, 19-13, OT
4th quarter lead: 7
Lost game on ... LaRod Stephens-Howling 52-yard TD catch in overtime.

Not thrilled with yesterday's results but the team is 12-8 under Garrett after being 1-7 prior.

He's not getting fired any time soon.

Nobody forced Garrett at gunpoint to cut bait and field those UDFAs. He chose to do that on his own, so he can't hide behind that excuse now. Pittsburgh was certainly not a contender when Cowher took over. If you don't think our current team has enough talent to win a Super Bowl, I am not sure what kind of drug you're on. We're solid at some feature positions. Good coaching could more than help our deficiencies. Problem is that we have Garrett, who's learning on the job.

Since you've made it very obvious you're not a Garrett man, who would you like to see coach this team assuming you could choose anyone besides Belichik?
