Fire Garrett?

Hahaha. I love this training camp excuse. Did Harbaugh or John Fox have some magical training camp with their teams? Garrett has been here 5 years now. This isn't his first rodeo. He's affected no change in that time. We're still the same sloppy roller coaster of a team that we were in 2008. We're losing worse now even. He's been responsible for the two greatest collapses in franchises history, and just became the first coach to even ice his own kicker, probably at any level of football from pee wee on up. Just a little trip down memory lane that I posted on another thread:

Sept. 11 at NY Jets
L, 27-24
4th quarter lead: 14
Lost game on ... Nick Folk 50-yard field goal with 0:22 remaining

Oct. 2 vs. Detroit
L, 34-30
4th quarter lead: 13
Lost game on ... Calvin Johnson 2-yard TD catch with 1:39 remaining

Oct. 16 at New England
L, 20-16
4th quarter lead: 3
Lost game on ... Aaron Hernandez 8-yard TD catch with 0:22 remaining

Dec. 4 at Arizona
L, 19-13, OT
4th quarter lead: 7
Lost game on ... LaRod Stephens-Howling 52-yard TD catch in overtime.

I take it your probably in your 20's?

Nobody forced Garrett at gunpoint to cut bait and field those UDFAs. He chose to do that on his own, so he can't hide behind that excuse now. Pittsburgh was certainly not a contender when Cowher took over. If you don't think our current team has enough talent to win a Super Bowl, I am not sure what kind of drug you're on. We're solid at some feature positions. Good coaching could more than help our deficiencies. Problem is that we have Garrett, who's learning on the job.

When Garrett took over we were 1-7.

That doesn't scream "contender" to me.

No, it just screams we are sick of these crappy coaches and we give up. Garrett had a role in the 1-7, he was the OC and Assistant Head Coach, but I do think most of the players angst was direct at Wade.

An assistant coach has to take the blame for 1-7?

Wow. That sort of logic would suggest that when two assistant coaches are screaming at the HC for a timeout that they might be partially responsible for a bad result.

Check mate, kid.

It is worrisome when an NFL coach makes such an awful and obvious error. It isnt that he made a mistake, it's the content of the mistake. I've literally never seen either of the late game errors he made, let alone both in a span of seconds.

"Fire him" is a stretch, but I wish we'd stop acting like it mwas just a normal coaching error because it simply wasnt. It was a horrendous sequence of events that nobody will ever be able to explain without building in excuses.

It was confusion...call it what you want.

It happened and we got to see it live. That is going to be in Cowboy history forever.

:)

Hey guys, how about we not go after the guy thats in his first season at his position?

Why don't you guys go after someone like Dave Campo, who has been coaching our crappy secondary since 2008?

Is there some part of "A role" and "Most of the angst was direct at Wade" which is unclear to you ? And yes, the two assistant coaches do share some blame in suggesting to Garrett the timeout be taken.

Agree. I'll take the good and the bad. Sure is was a bone head decision that he made but we as fans need to move on.

The kneejerk of fans amuses me.

Let's crucify the guy for trusting in his kicking unit. Maybe he can give Scandrick some intelligence and stop giving up vital field position by continuously getting baited into penalties, teach Newman how to be 3 years younger, give our front 7 some intensity to get to to the damn Quarterback, and keep our inept offensive line from getting Romo killed and having drive stalling penalties.

Our team just isn't very good.

Someone mentioned Harbaugh and John Fox, both of whom love to run the ball and have much better offensive lines at this point. Their defenses are also playing pretty damn well. Tim Tebow and Alex Smith would get murdered behind this line.

Really? We were out coached yesterday? Maybe we could've coached the O-Line up and they would have blocked better? Or maybe we could coach up DeMarco a little bit and he would have run harder. Or maybe if we would have been coaching Newman or had been preparing him better all these years, he could actually make a play!!!!!

Or maybe just maybe these guys need to go and play football with the same intensity that every team has against us. When will this group of players take it upon themselves to not be mediocre......Unfortunately probably never. You could bring Landry and Lombardi in here and these guys would still be just freakin' average!

You can see these guys look around and try not to be the guy that makes a big mistake because then that guy has to talk to the media all week, and they are always expecting someone else to make a play instead of manning up and beating their man!!!!!!

If I was a Cardinal fan yesterday I would be excited about the future........Just a whole heck ofa alot of want too..........These clowns.....Not so much.

Expect us to get blown out by the Giants. It will look like the Eagles game. Bunch of damn quitters!

Of course the other teams have intensity. Their players respond to their coach. We have a ginger robot that our players clearly do not care about.

And don't hate on DeMarco. Garrett completely abandoned the run yesterday at the first sign of trouble. That's not DeMarco's fault.

Just part where you use a word like "angst" without really understanding the meaning

Grammar policeman, really ? Really ?

Since you've made it very obvious you're not a Garrett man, who would you like to see coach this team assuming you could choose anyone besides Belichik?

How about someone who can manage the clock, motivate the players, hire the right assistants to prepare the team. We have looked awful coming off both a bye week and now a 10 day break. It's not like we looked great on that 4 game win streak either. We were still 28th in the redzone and 19th on 3rd down conversions going into yesterday's game. If Garrett's offense isn't performing well, and his team is still making mental errors and playing sloppy, then what exactly is his purpose here?

I'd take a guy that the players are willing to rally around, and who will put his players in the best position to help them win games. Look at what Fox is doing for Tebow. He re-designed his whole offensive playbook mid-freakin-season for his QB. People are acting like garrett is some victim of no off season, when he's actually been here for 5 years now. If Fox can re-design an entire offense for his QB, then I'd take a guy like that over Garrett, who can't even adjust to screen passes to counter a blitz mid-game.

Give me Fisher, Gruden, or anyone else who knows enough to put his players in the best position to win games and execute their particular skills.

Errors in meaning are Semantics, not Grammar.

But hey, thanks for posting!

I said before it's refreshing to have a coach who has restored the order to Dallas and gotten rid of all the unprofessionalism
Really? Where?

Oh. You meant the press conferences.

Haha are you 70 and had the patience to watch Tom Landry coach for 30 years?

Garrett is no Tom Landry. I think Landry would be rolling in his grave if he heard people insinuate that. Garrett's mistakes have been epic for even a high school-level coach. I'm happy to support a coach here for 50 years if they're capable of coaching at an NFL level. We don't currently have one...
