First pick narrowed down 2/21

21. Jahmyr Gibbs running back Alabama
24. Michael Mayer tight end Notre Dame
34. Emmanuel Forbes corner Mississippi State
22, Jalin Hyatt receiver Tennesse
Best available offensive lineman Cowboys choice

To me any of these picks make sense for the Cowboys and I would be happy with any of them. A lot of different ways that they could go.

Gibbs is just too good for me to pass on if he is available. He is just outstanding as a runner, receiver, and kick off return man. I just can' pass on him.

Mayer is a tight end that can't be covered in the redzone. He is unstoppable, outstanding in contested catches and is an outstanding blocker as well.

Forbes gives them the corner that they need and he has outstanding recognition and ball skills. He made pick 6's look routine in the SEC.

Hyatt gives them the over the top deep speed that they need at the receiver position.

Best available offensive lineman the Cowboys choice is a formula for success in the first round. They have a long history of being good at this.

I disagree with some you selected:

-Forbes is too similar to Diggs, the good and bad. We need our 2nd corner to be an asset on the edges against the run. Banks is the better fit in that 2nd tier.
-Hyatt is a Will Fuller clone, yes can stretch the field, but very limited route tree.
-I would add Drew Sanders, Robinson for sure and a few other 2nd Tier corners

Sanders could be in the mix too. I think that Brugler has him at 23.

We may not take him, but do not sleep on Gibbs. He is absolutely worth taking in round 1. No question about it.

Gibbs is a guy that I really like. It is still early (we haven’t even had the combine yet), but at this point, I would probably use a late first round pick on him. He can do anything you ask of him and with Pollard would be a dangerous duo.

There are guys that I might take over him, but at this point I see him as a late first round pick.

And before that at GT he was equally as deadly, but behind a way worse OL, QB and WR. So, it's not like he only put up good numbers behind a great team. He has shown that he can make plays at GT and Bama.

Mayer might run a 4.8, I’m not sure he is the top TE. He looks slow.

Gibbs is easily a 1000 runner in the NFL

I disagree, if dallas was picking in the top 10 I would agree, but in the high 20's you take BPA at a position of need so if its a RB its a RB.

What changes from 10 to 20?

With the first rounder you still get the extra year so we should be targeting premium positions that have a longer shelf life.
