Try again he signed a 6 year 84 million dollar deal. That is 14 million per year. Are you his agent or do you just like to spread false information?Better pay Zack Martin first. He's holding out training camp because he's viewed as way underpaid at 7 million. He does have a point.
A long term deal doesn’t guarantee you’ll be set for life it’s actually the opposite lol.To be set for the rest of his life!!! And the rest of his kids lives
That's why it's the guaranteed $'s that matter. What's moronic is to go year to year and risk injury. It's all about total $'s. That's why players hate the tag. It's not the salary, it's the lack of a huge lump sum pay day.
Agreed. If he was coming off an injury where it looked like his career might be permanently affected, then you don't do the deal. But if there is reasonable expectation of a full recovery on an ascending player, then get him locked up while he might be cheaper. This would be wonderful news in my opinion. Steele has blossomed into a tireless worker and a great example for the organization. His hard work should be rewarded. And I have to think that his price tag will never be lower than it is right now coming off of injury.
Diggs ,business decision person, is not my favorite for long term contract, I dont think he will be another D-Law , works until, gets paid guy, but may not have the same impact once he is paid.No to Dak until after the season....trade Diggs....NOT worth the money he is gonna command.
Do you just argue to argue? His career contract total amount is $100M through this contract. You don’t think he’s set for life or you’ll just pretend to keep arguing?A long term deal doesn’t guarantee you’ll be set for life it’s actually the opposite lol.
With Prescott, Lamb and Diggs seemingly topping the Cowboys list of priorities, there's an obvious trickle down effect. Look no further than Tony Pollard, who failed to ink a new deal by Monday's 4 p.m. deadline for tagged players.
That leaves Terence Steele as the only other extension candidate this offseason. The expectation was that the Cowboys would exercise a wait-and-see approach with Steele given he's coming off major knee surgery.
However, Mike Fisher of SI.com understands Steele is currently negotiating a contract that would keep him in Dallas for the foreseeable future.

Contracts don't mean much anymore, even Martin wants to hold out. This would be wonderful news in my opinion. Steele has blossomed into a tireless worker and a great example for the organization. His hard work should be rewarded. And I have to think that his price tag will never be lower than it is right now coming off of injury.
Contracts now are a negotiated element that the NFL and Player's negotiate compliance with or not of today's contract. That then becomes a function of a contract between them as to elements for completion and no unjust enrichments occur. Now by an agreed and binding contract as well.Contracts don't mean much anymore, even Martin wants to hold out.
Why would Biadasz need to go?Need to get better on Oline and soon, Tyron isn't going to be around long, Martin might be right behind him, Biadasz might also need to go, they need depth right now and probably a starter or two in the close future.
Ok i'll just bow out if you think i'm arguing just to argue with you. I simply disagreed with you and thought it was a civil debate but its cool. I'll agree to disagree and move on.Do you just argue to argue? His career contract total amount is $100M through this contract. You don’t think he’s set for life or you’ll just pretend to keep arguing?
the whole reason guys don’t go year to year is because of the guarantee of total earnings. None of them are dumb enough to go year to year in a sport that could end due to injury at any minute.
Because he's mid.Why would Biadasz need to go?
What is mid?Because he's mid.
Above average…..What is mid?
Biadasz doesn't need to go, we just don't need to keep him for free agent money.Need to get better on Oline and soon, Tyron isn't going to be around long, Martin might be right behind him, Biadasz might also need to go, they need depth right now and probably a starter or two in the close future.
I think that is fair. IMO he is a much better starter than McGovern and Connor Williams were here. He is probably still somewhere between average and a little below average meaning he is probably not a top 10 center in the NFL but is probably a top 20 center.Biadasz doesn't need to go, we just don't need to keep him for free agent money.
Looks like he’s only making 1.7 in base.Try again he signed a 6 year 84 million dollar deal. That is 14 million per year. Are you his agent or do you just like to spread false information?
Per sport trac... In 2023, Martin will earn a base salary of $1,700,000 and a restructure bonus of $11,800,000, while carrying a cap hit of $11,040,000 and a dead cap value of $28,660,000.Looks like he’s only making 1.7 in base.
