But the owners shouldn’t? I mean I’m with you, but we can’t be hypocritical! If the owners don’t expect to honor their long term contracts, the players shouldn’t either.
Again,, you're missing the point you obviously understand contract law and how it works the person who created the contract we'll always have the upper hand over the person who is under contract and that is why they put protection in there that everything that that person in this case the player was promised and guaranteed money and bonus they get that and then the league makes sure that it's not easy because they're putting dead cap money onto that year or the next year's salary cap, which is going to hurt as well..

so, it's not like they just cut the player and it's got free and just leave the player hanging and a lot of cases those players are easily going to go find a job unless they weren't worth it which is a lot of the case but they still have options to go find work elsewhere as a free agent which is better than being traded..

So it works both ways. yes but the owners who are making these contracts have the upper hand because they are the owners, they're the ones paying but there are lots of language in those contracts that protects both sides but holding out under contract is different then being cut from one because you're refusing to work while you're being paid, thats illegal..

But releasing a player under contract and giving everything you were promised in that contract that was owed to them in bonuses and guaranteed money and taking the dead cap hit is exactly what it says in the contract that you're allowed to do and the players know it but holding out that is not legal...

Thats fine, I doubt it. I was literally the ONLY guy that thought Biadasz would be a good center.
That is a LIE. First off, plenty of people wanted Biadasz on this site and you were not one of them. You CRAPPED on that whole draft. Now maybe you eventually came along and started like Tyler but you're lying. I remember the posters who pushed to draft him and trade up for him and you weren't one of them.

Secondly, you're back peddling. You said that I said he would suck. Now you're saying well you're the only person who thought he would be a good center. Post where I or anyone else said he would suck? Tyler was a fan favorite on this site so you're full of it.

Now who is lying?

Biadasz was hammered by everyone his rookie year. I was the only guy sticking up for him.

tyler was a great pick and most were complaining about all his holding calls in college.

Continue to lie and youll be put on ignore.

All that and your basis for the owners being justified is essentially hero worship.

First off dude you're really weird your responses are odd I'm a hero worshipper because I stated a clear fact between a employer and employee when it comes to contracts and how contracts work I'm pretty sure that just makes me a little bit better and understanding that relationship and reality..

If the players can earn more money elsewhere they would the owners gave them an opportunity to be millionaires and then we hear these fans that's sticking up for millionaires who are fighting with billionaires but the billionaires are the ones that created the opportunity...

So again when you're an owner of business and you create a job and you write up a contract I already stated how it works if you don't like it you can go start a go fund me and send free money to these players because you feel bad because Oh my God they I only make $18 million this year and I need a new contract cause he just might need a new pair of shoes I mean maybe his electric bill is overdue... :muttley: :lmao2:

That's not worshipping anything I'm here laughing at you because I think maybe you've been sitting in a room full of paint fumes responding because all I did is explain the relationship between an employer and employee and how contracts work and it is exactly how they work Zach Martin wants to leave why don't he just ask for a trade? He signed the deal his agents agreed to it both sides made the agreement and in this case he's not being cut he's not being asked to take a pay cut he's demanding more money while he still has time left on his contract and then that puts me on the side of the owner at this time. We can discuss a player that gets cut prematurely with money owed and how unfair it is but in this case it's not unfair get over it move on...

This would be wonderful news in my opinion. Steele has blossomed into a tireless worker and a great example for the organization. His hard work should be rewarded. And I have to think that his price tag will never be lower than it is right now coming off of injury.
Who will get paid and will be a dud!
