IN YOUR EYES, Dak has the leverage. But I assure you, Jerry did not bend to Jimmy after 2 Super Bowls. He didn't bend to Emmitt after SB AND rushing title in the same season - pre free agency. Little known...but he also battled with Michael Irvin until right before the season on money. I could go on and on.

And now you think a 4 time choker in the playoffs and numerous regular season games against good teams...this guy has "leverage" on Jerry?

LOL...you guys make me laugh!!! The Dak love is strong...
I know and CD did not have leverage either right?

Your blind love for GM Jethro, you must be one of his unknown kids.

Enough with the Lance crap. He’s as useful as breasts on a fish. He at least was allowed to end his NFL career on the field, albeit a preseason game. Dak my well leave, so what? Lance will simply disappear. So what?
Dallas has not been in the NFC championship game for 29 years. Is your answer so what?

Video starts at the relevant portion. Fish knows the Athletic reporter and that she has sources inside The Star. Essentially, it's not the APY that is the sticking issue, it's the Cowboys unwillingness to give Dak long-term security with the team.

As I had been saying to some folks, the party that cares (or can afford to care the least) almost always has the leverage. Dak wants the Cowboys more than they want him.

then let him play out the year as is and we all party with whatever is left.

By the time Lance is ready he will be near player retirement age.
We'll see. He is a more athletic version of Dak with similar issues. Mechanics and footwork are poor leading to inaccurate passes and has trouble reading the field. Dak was able to work on his mechanics over time and got better. Lance could do the same thing.

Dallas cannot afford a short term deal and $60M APY contract unless they are willing to pay tens of Millions of dollars for several years after Dak is gone.

CeeDee doesn't choke, Dak does. Jerry wants CeeDee, but he is completely comfortable angering Dak and letting him walk. Dak knows this. The fan base knows this.

Tough when you're the last to know.
