Anyone claiming Gibbs is a 190 back is lost he's a 200-205 type back that can play between the tackles for 3 downs.

You can "reach" for Gibbs at 26 all day and take a big bruiser later if you want

You can find a big bruiser plodder back anytime you want.

Jahmyr Gibbs types are hard to find.

We’re fortunate to have one right now with Pollard who is an elite runner but if he has another monster year do you really want to do a big deal with a 26 year old RB?

To be fair… Gibbs tore up the SEC.

That’s usually a solid indicator that he won’t suck.

Todays NFL is just basketball on grass.
With today's passing game..he's opens up everything, just the type of offense McCarthy wants to run.

I don't see us passing on him unless someone else we love drops.

When you put it that way it makes a lot of sense.

Only thing is this RB class is so deep.

Gibbs would be electric in Dallas though. He’d own the town for a few years.
True. But if Gibbs is being compared to Alvin Kamara, I wouldn't be mad if he were selected in the first.
I also wouldn't be mad if the Cowboys pass on Gibbs in the first.
I think the Cowboys have done pretty well with their first round picks overall. I trust McClay's choice for the first round.
I'm not going to even pretend I know which players are difference makers other than what I read, see and hear from others.
That's why I'm not dejected when a player I think I want gets passed over. Like I said, we've done pretty well with our first round selections.
I'm pretty sure we get a playa! :)

He gets Dalvin Cook comparisons which I think is weird.

When I watched him before he went to Alabama Alvin Kamara with way more speed was my first thought.

He’s got some Chris Johnson and Jamaal Charles to his game too.

All players that are just electric.

Funny. I thought about Chris Johnson too when thinking of a comparison for Gibbs.

Same thing I was told about KAVONTAE TURPIN at WR ....... and evertime he caught the ball on an offensive play, it looked like he was gonna get ripped in half
Dang... did it happen? Him getting ripped in half?

Shades of 1999 draft?

Going into that draft most had Ricky Williams as the clear cut number one RB. But then next thing you know there were rumors of another RB possibly going first. It was still a bit of a shock but the colts took Edgerrin James first.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I looked at 2 hl reels, and he looks better than bijan, looks stronger and quicker burst, good moves and good speed, doesnt go down easy.
Uh....no. The only way in which Gibbs is better is straight-line top end speed.

I know it's Fish but I've been asking the same question. I mean could he be the player they are hiding? He's such a great pass catcher that you could argue using him as an RB, slot receiver and/or WR. Imagine moving his kind of speed all around the offense.......with Pollard on the field. LOL, defensive coor would be like ........:banghead::banghead:

Cowboys Draft RB Rumor: What If It’s Jahmyr Gibbs, Not Bijan Robinson?

The Dallas Cowboys have been rumored to be interested in Texas Longhorns star Bijan Robinson, but what if Dallas takes a different running back in Alabama's Jahmyr Gibbs?

I am intrigued!

Up , down or sideways. If we keep our first and get Gibbs with a trade in the 2nd Id be ecstatic
A trade down scenario would be great there. I'm perfectly fine with Gibbs, I do think he brings a similar skill set to Pollard though but would essentially be his cheaper replacement next offseason.

I frankly don't see Bijan as a home run hitter. But Jamyr Gibbs is. With 4.3 he can take it all the way on every carry.
