Fine, whatever.

This really amounts to “If Bijan is gone, do the Cowboys still go RB in the first round?”

No team will ever take Gibbs ahead of Bijan.
You sound just like a guy I used to know over at DC.com, he always said that he won't be there at said number or he'll be long gone before we pick he even had Aaron Donald as his fifth-highest D-tackle in that year's draft and you know what HE WAS ALWAYS WRONG!!!

Gibbs was faster than all of the top WRs at the combine in the 40.

I've warmed up to Mayer. He's a great blocker and receiver and I think Lunda Wells is an excellent TE coach and would get the most out of him. Almost everyone I read including NFL.com calls him a safe pick and picking at 26 that can't be overstated. The last player we took in round one that was called the safest pick was Zack Martin.
Gibbs, Maher, either or at 26 I'm not flinching, just make the pick.
Both worthy of that draw, or a trade back partner has been established with something irrestablile, otherwise just make the talent grab.

Please, God, I hope you’re right.

Bijan would be terrific for us.

This makes too much sense:

- The talk is about Bijan Robinson whom the Cowboys are in love with, not Jamyr Gibbs. Smoke screen?
- McCarthy wants to run the ball more.
- Pollard is coming off an injury and could be like Gallup, meaning he may need a full year to heal.
- Pollard may not be with us after next year, and who steps in for him? We'll already have that guy in house if we take Gibbs.
- We have Ronald Jones as our pounder, lessening the need to draft a back to offset Pollard or Gibbs. Doesn't hurt to have two speedsters.
- Gibbs gives you another wide receiver on the field.
- He's a difference maker. You should ALWAYS take those guys, especially if you have a need at their position.
- Bijan Robinson will be long gone.

If he's there, I think we take him.
When you put it that way it makes a lot of sense.

Only thing is this RB class is so deep.

Gibbs would be electric in Dallas though. He’d own the town for a few years.

Gibbs is just as good I would not be opposed. The only problem is he plays a similar role to Pollard and I don't know how that will work out.

Lol @ carry the load.

Nobody cares about that anymore.

Christian McCaffrey can’t carry the load anymore and he was just traded for a kings ransom.

Jamyr Gibbs is a guy that can score from anywhere on the field with just a simple dump off.

When Dak Prescott is your QB then a guy like this who you can get the ball to easy is invaluable.
Draft him or Bijan and bring back a potent screen game to take advantage of both or rb's speed and agility.

The only issue with Isreal is his competition was mostly bad. He had 7 TD's against Rhode Island and Las Vegas in two games. Most of those highlights are from those two games.
that is true for many players, I think even bijan , they dont play many good teams, or the hl are all from the bad teams.
Thats why I dont pay attention to stats, and try to look at how a RB moves, his speed, etc.

Pollards awesome. Love his game.

But you really willing to give him a big contract at 26 years old?

Just go draft a guy I think. Maybe my opinion after the year changes but I doubt it.
A 26 year old that has very little wear and tear tread on him because he was seldom used his first 2 years in NFL, because Garrett and Kellen was so sold on leaving Zeke on the field
and taking on such a load with carrying the ball, receiving and blitz blocking (which some don't realize how absorbing toll it takes)

They did not trust Pollard to be on the field, i think one game he had zero carries on offense and was limited to special teams

Let's not make it sound like as if he's been toting the ball as the number one for several years.

Stronger? Come on now, let's not get silly.

I love Gibbs as a player, dude is freaky quick. Goes to lightning speed in less than a heartbeat. Not much at pass blocking though.
we could bring elliot back for pass blocking lol.
but imo a back blocking on pass plays, is all about coaching.
