The last thing I'll be doing and going by ESPN's "Doctors".

Sick of the contradicting reports and armchair doctors. We won't have him in the next 4 games, that's the only certain thing as of now.

What the Cowboys ABSOLUTELY do not want is a Hakeem Nicks result from this same injury which was that he never fully recovered and it ruined his extremely promising (up that that point) career.

Remember back to 2011-2012 when Dez and Nicks were routinely compared to one-another here on CZ?

Hakeem Nicks was only ever a good receiver, even before the injury. His ceiling was his production in 2011.

For a non athlete 4-6 weeks might work since no running and cutting
For an athlete probably 8 weeks if everything goes well
I heard the Cowboys were planning on it being 8 weeks and if all goes well I think he could be back then
But dez was not in good shape before and isn't going to get in better shape now so I think for dez to be back to dez I wouldn't expect too much till after turkey day
Just my opinion since I didn't stay at a holiday inn last night

It takes however long it takes. I don't see the reason for the hand wringing over this.

There comes a point when you realize that there's really nothing you can do. All your worry or guessing doesn't change the situation.
That's where I am. I hate he got hurt. But he's hurt.
That's why the team drafts and develops players. In case one goes down, another steps in.
We still have Romo. We still have a rock-solid offensive line. We still have backs who can move the chains. The coaches were raving about D. Street in camp. Okay, here's where we see if they were blowing smoke.
Other players simply are going to have to step up their game.

If its even 8 weeks we need some other WR's. We can't go this long with what we have.

Just like in 2011 when Austin was banged up and Bryant wasn't Bryant, a WR will emerge. I'm not worried.

I'm only worried about the RB position on offense.

Dez needs to be healthy and in shape before playoffs. If he comes back too soon he could risk further injury on that foot !!!
