And when it's time for the Pittsburgh game it will then be the Ravens game....he is ready except for the speed of it all. and he can get a good part of that in practice.
It will take him the 1st half of the Cleveland game to show he is ready.

Ultimately, his issue is can his body actually withstand a tackle in an NFL game. They're obviously not going to put him at too much risk in a practice setting. Everyone will be holding their breath until it happens in a game.

As long as he doesn't get hit oddly again, which he seems to always does. He can take hits.
I am starting a conspiracy theory that the NFL is afraid of Tony, so they want him hurt. They did not want him winning more than Cry boy Brady and the other darling teams / QB's......

OK, just kidding before anyone takes it serious.....hmmm. I shouldn't say this to have seen how far it would go....:lmao2:

In the video posted in the other thread Romo looked very lean. Obviously game conditioning and regular physical conditioning are 2 very different things. But if he has been working out I don't think it will be that big of a deal. The guy has been in the league 13-14 years now? He knows what needs to be done and where he falls short imo.

Let's get real put him in at the end of game, about 10 plays and one hit ought to resolve the QB controversy,Dak makes him look old, you gotta know when to hold them and know when to fold them..His time has passed here unfortunately..Dak makes him look old, it makes me remember when Romo could wiggle away from the rush and run

tony came into the league running a 5.1 40'...he could never wiggle and "run"...he's always barely scampered since the day he came to Dallas.

Makes sense. He hasn't played meaningful football in a long time.

I agree this is not just about being healed it has as much to do with him getting ready to play. He has seen hardly any action since last season.

sooooooooooo how exactly do you get "game ready" without playing in a game?

he's either going to have to split time with Dak or start, just a guess

Is the team and PR selling Romo back or what?? I love Romo but I just can't see us pulling Dak and screwing this up. I know Romo is good, but I like the way this team plays with Dak, with an attitude. It's just different even though it's practically the same offense.

It's obvious that they're just using any/all stalling mechanisms at their discretion.

There was an original 6-10 week recovery window from his injury. We are now getting in to week 10 of that recovery, and he isn't even able to practice yet. Eventually, people will stop eating all the BS Garrett feeds them with this issue.

I wonder how Romo feels, knowing if this were last season and the team was struggling, he would already be back on the field.

Main part of it is getting on the field work with the team at practice. Right now he has just been throwing on the side as of late and he will need to start getting some reps at practice.

I would hope they learned last season not to rush him back. For lack of a better situation as far as comparison, Dak is Brock and Romo is Peyton. Question is who is our Von?
