Fisher: Cowboys unrealistic dream scenario

Jane Slater reporter earlier today, Cowboys would be interested trading up for either James or Vea, if they fell to around 14. But not higher.
the only one i see falling to that is Vae, but who knows there could be a weird run on QBs.

That is what I am hoping for, a run on QB's and OL, therefore dropping some players on D.
Especially if a few teams like the Ravens take a WR. I can see the Commanders going for Ridley over a DT, as they need Wr more so than a DT, IMO.

Man I'm down for just about anything that isn't a trade up or a Wide Receiver.

I'll be glad to take a WR if we trade down and do it. I can live with an Olineman but I would also like that position better in a trade down.
I hear you. I'm not a big fan of these recievers
honestly - besides Ridley in a trade down - and
I'd rather finish the defense and fix the OL.

really concerned that teams have flunked van der esch and we love him. but honestly thats about right.
Well...in their defense....the Cowboys seem to be better at the draft. Not only that but they seem to hit on 1st rounders better than any other team. I really hope hey don't take LVE though. Especially at 19.

there is a CBS mock where Derwin fell to 12 and Vae fell to 13. i think even if they got to there cowboys would do their best trying to trade up for one of them.

The guy they want the most is Derwin James.

Their most realistic dream scenario is Vea.

3rd is Vander Esch. They love Vander Esch.

Also, sounds like Earl Thomas will not be a Cowboy.

Earl Thomas - DB - Seahawks
ESPN's Dan Graziano reports trade talks between the Cowboys and Seahawks for Earl Thomas "centered around" the No. 50 overall pick.

Graziano's reporting suggests the Seahawks are happy with the compensation, but Dallas will not pull the trigger unless they know they can sign Thomas to an extension. Considering Thomas told Jason Garrett to "come get me" after a game in December, it seems like he is amenable to a long-term deal with Dallas. It would not be surprising to see the All-Pro safety moved during the draft.

Sometimes that's easier said than done. Gotta have a trade partner and if all indications are true that the meat of the draft is 2nd/3rd round, might be tough for a team 20-32 to move up with us. Gotta have a dance partner.

The team telling fish that ET is asking for too much is quite possibly a negotiation tactic..maybe Thomas caves a bit and lowers his demands

Wasnt Fishers biggest nark Dez himself??

Might need to take less and less cred from Fisher going forward

Cowboys would be crazy to use a 2nd round pick on a 30 year old DB who has recently been dealing with injuries due to age and wear & tear. Earl Thomas becomes an unrestricted free agent after 2018, so it is best to wait on him until next year once he becomes a free agent.

Fisher is the used car salesman of the Cowboys. He can't be trusted with anything.

And if you're a used car salesman and offended, I'm sorry, but that Corolla I bought back in '09 was a complete lemon and I'll never forgive nor forget.

LVE won't make it to 19. Be prepared for the draft room to be scrambling trying to find someone to draft or trade down with.
