Fisher: Fans bothered by Jerry's strange reaction to Will McClay

I've been trying to tell everyone this for a very long time.

Those who don't like any pick that was made needs to direct their displeasure at Jerry.

100%. When people blame McClay for the picks we’ve made, it’s like blaming the suit salesman in a men’s clothing store for the suits the customer ultimately picked. The salesman presents the customer with choices but it’s the customer that makes the final selection.

Jerry is bothered by the fact McClay gets credit for the Cowboys draft picks. Good-bye, Will.

This is why the Cowboys do not get past the first round of the playoffs, and it is why they will not win until Jerry let's go of the team.

Jerry is like, "who is this McClay guy everybody keeps talking about, he is just a scout"

For sure. And it’s why things may get worse before they get better. when Jerry gets cornered (especially now at 82) he somehow decides he needs to ”flex” his power as owner/GM and purposely make everything grind to a halt.

Jerry’s like the Joker in the Batman movie who would rather watch everything burn than him not be the center of attention or the sole recipient of the almighty nebulous “credit” he so desperately craves. He’s a wounded and cornered bear right now.
