None of the Cowboy defenders are getting a lot of snaps. They'll be sitting on the bench drinking Gatorade, watching the Cowboy offense toy with the Giants "Big Bad" defense. The Giant defense is going to get pounded so hard they won't want to come out of the tunnel at halftime.

Elliott and McFadden are going to use the offensive line like a surfer using a tidal wave. The Cowboys will run all night long. That's how you neutralize a defensive line's ability to attack. That's how the Cowboys keep their defense off the field. That's how you bleed out the timeclock.

He's here because Marquez White has a long way to go. He's here as a fallback in case Awusie and Lewis can't go ... which we weren't sure of when we traded for him. He's here because he is a good player on special teams if he isn't needed for anything else.

I fully expect our cornerbacks to be worked over. The rookies got next to no meaningful reps in preseason/practice and no familiarity with proven NFL talent ala OBJ and Marshall.

I would think at least until Moore comes off suspension. I don't know if Dallas wants to carry fewer than 10 DBs, though, so it wouldn't surprise me for the new LB/DE Elliott to get cut first. When Irving comes off suspension, the decision may be tougher unless Carroll or Wilson is suspended or something happens with Elliott.

Are you expecting the rookies to be lined up against those players a lot?

Active and playing are two different things. Baring injury Lewis is there for depth and maybe special teams
I don't see any rookies starting in the secondary. Some may get some snaps but not much

Don't want to see rookies playing too much at the start. They need to watch the offense and defense then be inserted carefully into the game at the right times. Still some risks involved in playing them but that's necessary.

As you said, going against Dak, Dez, TWill, Beasley, Switzer, Butler, Witten, etc in practice. How soon people here forget. Ya, those guys aren't proven NFL talent like ala OBJ and Marshall.
