Fisher on Conley

Conley hasnt said he would reenter the draft if not picked in the first.

That is what made Collins undraftable

True. But some are saying he will go undrafted. I say BULL!
Even if he said he would reenter the draft, someone is going to take him. Teams saw what happened to Collins. They're not going to let that happen again.

On the open market, Dallas has a decisive advantage.

If Dallas drafts Conley, I expect Jerry to use the gl0ry h0le mantra in his press conference.

Too soon?

It really stupid to put yourself it a situation like that before the draft, so it speaks to his intelligence. Plus I just get a bad vibe, but even without the character concerns I don't like him. Weak tackler and, while he had one really good coverage year, it's not enough for me to pull the trigger at 28.
Oh no, not at 28. At 60 though?

Really? Thats your definition of character? I can list you 50 people who do worse things in the bedroom and are public figures but still have integrity and character. Give me a break with that argument

Actually, I agree with him. I believe how you treat women in as intimate a moment as sex is an insight into your character. And if you're stupid enough to let that be known publicly, you invite the judgment of those who would question your character.

Having said that, I understand that in this day and age, people aren't as turned off about people's sexual practices and would not consider his viewing participation or his actual participation as an undraftable offense.

And that's all I'm going to say on that.

That's fair and the proper way to do it, but If Conley eventually gets convicted, drafting him at 60 would be considered another wasted 2nd round pick, Jaylon Smith non withstanding.

No doubt. Risk-reward.

That's why you would have to be sure that your investigators had all of their facts right. Much like you did for La'el Collins, and like you trusted your doctors on Jaylon Smith.

They are resources outside of the salary cap rules and you should maximize each and every one to your utmost advantage. In such a competitive league, you look for every advantage you can get.

That's why a team like the Patriots does it, often to the point of cheating and deflating footballs. They look for each and every advantage they can find to tip the scales in their favor. And we can argue methods but we can't argue results.

I don't know, there are a ton of DBs that are clean. Not sure it's worth the risk even in the 2nd.
"If you are in a risky business, the first way you can have rose-colored glasses on is not to understand you are in a risky business. Things do happen. It's just an example of really why you should focus on what is good about it, where the good things are. We are going to focus on the good, good people that can be on the field that can play and make plays for us. That's not to say we aren't going to continue to be looking for resourceful ways to win football games."

Fair enough man. We disagree. But this is one of those subjects which is more about personal life and stuff that should NEVER be public knowledge in the first place. Couldnt he have just got a DUI or something? lol

Ridiculous frankly. Actually prudish. Because a person might engage in a group sex act doesn't in anyway somehow show a flaw in their character. Holy hell.

If you believe such acts to be inherently immoral, then it's not a far reach to attribute the practice to flawed character.

The character flaw might be in the people who pass judgment on someone else's character over a sex act that is consensual.

Maybe, but would you teach honestly your daughter its ok to be with two or more men? I think I know the answer.

No but I also wouldn't think she had some character flaw if she did happen to engage in a group sex act.

Would you think your daughter or son was flawed if they did something like this?

It would only be a character flaw if you believed that it was immoral but did it anyway.

Few people his age have any concept of anything related to sex as immoral.

Some team would draft him just to make certain that the Cowboys or some other team didn't manage a La'el Collins type deal.

Do we really want him around Ezekiel Elliot? OSU and the Cowboys sure know how to pick em. :D

Too early?
